Top Rank and it isn't even close. PBC has a HW champion that no one has ever heard of. He's been champ for years now, still crickets whenever his name is mentioned after 40 fights. Mayweather was already a star when he signed with Haymon, thanks to Arum and GBP. For perspective, tell us all about the fighters Haymon has developed from the ground up and their PPV numbers, attendance records, etc. Thurman, D. Garcia, Spence, Wilder, Porter, Charlo Bros., Stevenson?

              I don't believe that.

Truth is Crawford vs Spence isn't a HUGE fight right at the moment and all parties involved know it. That's not to say it's going to take 5-6 years to happen but it does need to some more hyping up. Both guys have been adamant about fighting one another when both can make a big paycheck being it'll be a huge fight when it does end up happening. We also can't pretend like Bob and Espinoza / Haymon are on a regular working schedule.

Wilder could easily fight under a different promoter in his next fight. He is a free agent. DiBella isn't his promoter. He just happened to promote his last few fights.

DiBella is just a site coordinator for PBC events like TGB. They get a flat fee and don't have any say on who is on tv or anything other than asking for a few undercard slots. They also have little incentive to really dig in and promote since they are just site coordinators

Yet fight after fight, Dibella is his promoter. Dibella doesn't need a contract because Haymon has established for a very long time that if he gives you his word that you have a fighter, you know you have the fighter. Haymon's "oral agreement" business model only works because he keeps his word.

no he doesn’t have him sign a Contract so the threat of pulling the fighter away is always there. That’s how he rents promoter’s license from TGB and DiBella and has them run the show in Name only as he pulls all the strings behind the scenes. DiBella and TGB have no skin in the game. It’s all on Haymon. If wasn’t for renting out their license, TGB wouldn’t Even be in business.
