wasnt Derev ready to fight GGG on short notice like 3-4 weeks and was happy with 250 grand, now he needs 3 months of preparation and cant agree on money split to fight his sparring partner, kind of funny
anyway, Derevyanchenko will clean the division out of Jacobs, Andrades, Charlos before unification with GGG

        cheers for clearing that up
Of course they acted in bad faith. It was a forced mandatory fight to try to steal the division away from HBO.

With this fight being made, I bet Charlo is breathing a big sigh of relief. DJ had him shook and he knows it. Not really too excited about this fight but it is what we’re getting like it or not. If DJ wins, I'd like to see him go after Charlo. And the same for for Dev too. Either of them snuffing out Andraide would be good to clear up the MW division. It’s time to start culling the field!!!!

this is complete nonsense. Have you ever seen a bout contract??

OF COURSE the fighters acknowledge the belts. Signed contracts have to go to the sanctioning body or they dont sanction the bout. And there are disclosures and authorizations the fighter has to sign that authorize the sanction fees payable to the sanctioning body from the fighters purse.

Dont talk nonsense. I represented Nate Campbell when he beat Juan Diaz for 3 titles so I know damn well what a title fight contract contains and what language is in it.

At the highest levels, the bodies are often sent a different version of the contract than the real contract between the fighters. This is how Wladimir and Fury hid their rematch clause from the IBF.

Plenty of bout agreements make specific mention of which belts will be on the line, but it's also common for contracts to ignore them. Clearly the contract between GGG and Jacobs didn't require Jacobs to fight for the IBF.

Plenty of fighters have blown off certain belts to save on sanctioning fees.

Just because a contract was structured a certain way in a deal YOU were involved in doesn't mean other deals aren't done differently. After all, you admittedly were a giant failure, so it's possible people more successful and sophisticated than you protect themselves in ways you didn't think of.

Jesus..this place. We've got a good MW fight here and some people are ignoring it and posting in the thread about Golovkin and nothing else.

Anyway, I leaning towards Jacobs but I'm excited to see if Derevchenko is as good as hoped at this level. Looking forward to it.

there is nothing CLEAR about it. You havent seen the contract, and are talking out of your arse as usual.

The IBF would NEVER have sanctioned the bout without Jacobs agreeing to pay the fighter sanction fee. That is a FACT.

I think Mauricio needs more lotion put on. You better get back there house boy................

Could he have paid the sanctioning fee and still not been "contractually" bound to weigh in the day of the fight. Not weighing in is treated no different from coming in overweight. It was a tactical move to get an advantage over of a 4 belt champion.

Cool fight good for both men, guess the IBF couldn't wait. Jacobs appears a bit shot lately but he should still put on a good contest. Would pick him to get the UD.
