The IBF seek a signed contract for the fight from both fighters before fully sanctioning the bout. Its a tentative sanction prior to them receiving this.

If they had no intention of fighting for the IBF belt due to the second weigh in, they shouldnt have submitted a signed contract to them for their sanction unless they knew were to act in bad faith.

Yup both boxers signed the contract to fight for the IBF Championship belt way before the fight. I believe they have two weeks to sign the contract once the IBF approves the fight. and if the challeneger doesn't sign than the next contender in line gets the fight.

Jacobs either couldnt make the weight at last minute (Which I hope is the case.)

Jacobs started hydrating right after the 1st weigh-in knowing he wasnt gonna do the same day weight and giving himself over 12-15 hour head start. Which is blatantly CHEATING imo.

Charlo would get butally slaughtered by Golovkin. At least the Saunders fight would go past 6 rounds.

If you really believe that then ask for the fight on every social media you enter.

He's the mandatory. In a perfect world, I'd love to see GGG vs Charlo after Canelo, but he'll probably do Saunders, maybe fight Canelo again, then call it quits. That's the way I see it.

If GGG loses to Canelo, I don't see him continuing. Maybe he will, but unless its another Canelo fight (eg if the 2nd is razor thin or controversial, and the trilogy looks to be deserving), then I can't see him going back to lower paying fights at his age.

But we'll see I guess.

U know what before the whole ped scandal broke for the rematch, I gave canelo the upperhand. Have u seen how skinny he looks now? I don't know anymore, Sept 15 can't come any faster.

Pretty much the way I see it. Looks like this is end game scenario for GGG.

Jacobs should win this, then hopefully unify with GGG/Saunders/Canelo after it's settled between those three.

Personally, I think it'll be Golovkin if they all do fight each other.

GGG over Canelo
Jacobs over Derevyanchenko
Saunders over a bum because he ain't fighting anybody good with a potential GGG or Canelo fight in May

then
GGG over Saunders
Jacobs over a contender like Charlo, Andrade, Murata, Murray, etc

And finally GGG over Jacobs in the rematch for the undisputed title.

Makes sense if GGG is looking for money fights, too. Nobody else out there would make him more than Canelo, Saunders, and Jacobs in a row.
