Anyway, wonder if the IBF will require an automatic mandatory, especially since I expect the winner of GGG vs Canelo to take on Saunders. If so, according to the IBF rankings, the winner will have to fight Andrade (if he agrees, which I don't know why he wouldn't) so possibly more good fights ahead.
If the fight went on between Canelo and GGG the winner would have had to face Derv. The IBF gave GGG an exemption to fight Canelo as GGG hadn't made a mandatory since 2016. The fight didn't happen and GGG had to face his mandatory next but asked for an exemption to fight Vanes. In order to get that exemption to fight Vanes, GGG had to agree to fight Derv next within 90 days. GGG chose to Vanes and take a money fight against Canelo, IBF followed their rules.

Interesting fight. I'm going with Jacobs from the experience angle.

Ibf didnt told ****, they just wanted him to fight d-chenko on a exact date.

Vanes was a voluntary granted by the ibf(wasnt a "risk")

Charlo blew an opportunity I think. Look forward to this fight though.

Is Charlo really going to sit around hoping for the Golovkin fight?
