He was a WBA mandatory. He had no obligations to the IBF if he didn't want to fight for their title.

He is not with Haymon anymore anyway so I’m not sure why u care so much anyway
I couldn't care less who is or isn't with Haymon. Has no effect on my life.

DJ best move is to get a title so when he fights the winner of GGG vs Canelo he will have a nice bargaining chip at the table . IBF have changed there rules about the 10 pound limit so both guys will come in over 175 I bet . Its going to be interesting to see what direcrtion Charlo and BJS take now with this fight signed .

It’s a shame and I’m sure that Jacobs will get no credit or kudos beating his stable mate with his opponents trainer too, but we finally get to see what SD is all about and at the same time how good both their potential ceilings really are.

And GGG let himself get stripped by fighting Vanes and then not fighting Derevyanchenko like he should have. It's not like it's it's previous owner seemed to give much of a **** about it.

The thing people haven't talked about much is that Canelo had part in costing GGG his title. If that fight went on May 5, as scheduled, the IBF belt would have been on the line so one of them would have it now.

Anyway, wonder if the IBF will require an automatic mandatory, especially since I expect the winner of GGG vs Canelo to take on Saunders. If so, according to the IBF rankings, the winner will have to fight Andrade (if he agrees, which I don't know why he wouldn't) so possibly more good fights ahead.

Very good! I'm still very high on Derevyanchenko, it will be very interesting to see him against a topflight MW for a shot at the title. Style favors Jacobs, so it will be a great challenge.

I just remember Andrade saying how he and Jacobs would never fight because they're good friends since the amateurs, but here is Jacobs putting Rozier in a very tough spot!

The IBF told Golovkin the risks of taking the Vanes fight... He still took the fight.

Interesting fight. I see Jacobs winning via decision. Golovkin will soon get the chance to fight Jacobs again, this time to get his belt back.
