FACT: Calzaghe beat a prime Hopkins

Hopkins was in his prime when he was middleweight champion.
I think we can all agree on that.Comment

You are a well proven UK bias boxing idiot as proven by your past threads. First off winning a close split decision isn't clowning anyone and Joe got put on his ass which is clearly not clowning anyone. If you don't think the 36 year old Joe had a big 7 year youth advantage over Hopkins then true to form you are a boxing idiot. Make Hopkins the same 36 years old as Joe and you have the Hopkins who beat Trinidad and would have easily beaten Joe. Joe was great but Hopkins was greater. So many boxing fans like to lean on the Hopkins was old hivemind nonsense. The supposedly "old, shot" Hopkins went on to beat up the best lt heavy in the world and was a unified true 175 champ until nearly a decade after he was clowned by Joe. When will fans realize the Hop that he beat that night was as close to prime as we've ever seen him and he was dominated by the superior "white boy" as Hop once put it. Praise needs to be heaped on Calzaghe and his defining win was legendary.Comment

no, your prime describes your physical rise and decline, and it's somehting a lot of you casuals don't understand because fighters are moved so slowly and into their 30's. 30 year old fighters used to be considered used up! fighters almost never regained championships in their 30's!
a fighter in his 40's is not in his prime! hell, a fighter in his 30's is almost surely on the back 9! fighters can imprive and be better in their 30's than their 20's, but it comes down to different things, like skills, experience, tricks, etc. you won't be stronger, faster, have better reflexes!
hopkins was not in his prime when he fought joe calzaghe in his 40's. TS is a troll and you just need to shut up 99% of the timeComment
