Interesting, I'll try to find something on that. But I don't remember seeing anything on the FOX airing PBC cards outside of the time buy. I was under the impression the FOX time buys were going to go through 2018.

If that's the case why has kevin iole reported that ESPN has been looking to expand their deal with top rank is doesn't make since.

Top rank has been showing subpar cards as of lately. Other than their fight library, Crawford, and lomanchenko top rank has little to offer.

I've looked at what DAZN offers in certain countries and it works for them because they normally wouldn't get to see US based leagues. There have been plenty of complains in Canada about the NFL games being streamed there. Is boxing, Bellator and European soccer enough for US customers to subscribe? I signed up to ESPN+ for the Crawford fight and forgot to cancel, since that fight, I have yet to use ESPN+ again.
Which is why I'd said earlier how much I'd love to see the research that's underpinning their entry into the US market. I'm guessing here but I'm wondering if they're seeing increasing interest in soccer and they're hoping that securing some prime international soccer rights may be helpful in attracting an audience. Maybe amongst Latinos, a segment of the US population that enjoy boxing more than most?

It's also possible that they can leverage the content they're paying for from Matchroom in other markets. So maybe they'll be able to subsidise their US operation for a little while at least as they gain extra content for their successful German and Japanese platforms.

espn isnt paying much per show. arum went and got a hedge fund to invest so he could afford to lose money on the shows in hopes of growing a larger relationship with espn.

espn is happy with the deal and looking to add more dates. what doesnt make sense about that?

Most of the fights they made were meaningless.
Lara, for instance, is only recently stepping up.
He fought Rodriguez, Zaveck, Foreman, Gausha...
Spike used to buy his fights, but they got sick of the low level of competition they were getting.

Does the PBC have mismatches , f.uck yea but no different then TOp Rank or Matchroom it’s part of the sport
