Derevyanchenko wasn't coming up in weight, coming off a loss and coming out of retirement. Derevyanchenko was clearly a better option for Golovkin at the time to fight instead of Vanes.

Yeah and take the chance of sustsining a bad cut, broken nose etc and putting the Canelo fight in jeopardy. Look at what's happening right now Jacobs and Derev can't come to terms over their fight. Golovkin chose to by pass Derev and under the circumstances it was the proper decision.

He lost the belt because he didn't abide by the order to face Derev. Whether a fan of Golovkin likes it or not those are the rules. Personally as long as the IBF is consistent with the enforcement of their rules I'm OK with it.

Sam Solimon lasted 2 rounds with Sergiy while most felt he beat Wade. Not even close. I knew it was a SHT show.

It's totally greed on the part of the sanctioning bodies. Not sure if they are all non profit 🤔🤣🤣 but it wouldn't hurt if some of them merged.
