I would like to see that fight some time and I am pretty sure GGG and Abel would want that fight too if, just if Charlo created some kind of buzz, if he was out there trying to fight somebody and not be fighting two absolute knobs and now sit and wait on GGG.

Charlo is literally unknown outside of the USA, at least Saunders holds a major belt and a guy like Murata is doing his own thing creating monster ratings in Asia. Charlo on the other hand.. smoke weed, talk shi.. on social media and sit on his arse. Wow so hyped.

You are obviously lacking common sense. Charlo is basically unknown, because he fights nobody. Why would GGG fight a nobody when he has only a couple fights left? He wants to make big fights that the boxing fans worldwide want to see, not a couple thugs in the US and nobody else gives a fu.. about Charlo. You have to realize that. Beating one cripple and one nohoper does nothing for his profile.

Argh. Golovkin should have faced Saunders when he had the IBF belt and time to spare, even before Canelo's suspension.

But, it's not entirely his fault. His greatest mistake was to cling obsessively to Canelo to his detriment, whereas I believe he doesn't-or shouldn't need Canelo to be his only big payday, and cement his legacy.

The MW division has been stacked with contenders, up and comers, titlist's, for a while now and GGG ought to have faced Saunders in the last two years in which he's had barely three fights.

Saunders will be a terrible style match-up so it's not a fight that presents value UNLESS it is for all the marbles and the IBF's strange unduly haste stripping of unified champions will continue to dash those hopes whilst also presenting opportunities like Sergey D v Jacobs.

If I were in charge of Golovkins team, I would realise that the undisputed campaign is all but gone, with him approaching 40 but still in good shape, I don't see why the many fighters awaiting their chance at GGG can't be signed.
If he can't see that he is a marquee name, if he thinks he needs another marquee name to do well, then he's selling himself short or doesn't realise how extensive his fan base is.

Charlo, Dereyavchenko, Andrade would get fans more excited because we really haven't seen a 'super-fight', a FOTY candidate which should be forthcoming given G's style.

Lastly, Forget Canelo, go out giving the fans your 'big drama show', go back to what made you appealing in the first place, not this current incarnation who is a boxer, ex-body punching, politicking grump. C'mon!

That's a solid, appealing and exciting list. That's four fights. IMO GGG overtrains a little, but that could also be his natural enjoyment of the sport. He doesn't seem to have great struggles making weight, and I don't think these long spells in protracted crazy making negotiations with the GB team does his mental health any good.
It's not a part of the game he can be objective and smart about as he's far too much of an emotional, and let's just sign the bloody paper and fight kinda guy, evidenced by how he's reacted to the long lay off caused by putting all his proverbial eggs in the Canelo basket.

Who would the best potential match-up for him be at 168? (I wish Badou Jack was still there that would be a great fight)

Or you take the biggest fight in the sport of boxing and fight Charlo when he builds his name more. What the IBF did was ridiculous as they never ordered the mandatory because there was too little Time before May 5 under their rules and then handcuffed GGG as the unified champion without letting him make the deal with Canelo first. That’s why they will have no big stars, Crawford vacated their title instead of fighting his IBF mandatory. Jacobs and Dev can’t even reach an agreement with the same manager, how was GGG going to make an agreement with Dev under the new rules the IBF made up for a faster negotiation than what their rules say. Either way, GGG will be the biggest star in boxing if he beats Canelo again in Sept. He and Canelo agreed to fight now 3 times, the heavies are too afraid to take any risk to make that fight. Needs to marinate another 2 yrs before they fight, both have questionable chins and don’t want that risk of getting KOd.

Roy Jones & Bernard Hopkins fought early for the ibf if I remember correctly....Floyd Mayweather moved up in weight & fought the Champ in his 1st fight in the division....Anyways lil g is a #Twinky.

Saunders is better and more proven than Charlo, so why wouldn't he take on the bigger fight? Plus it's a unification. Seems the natural step to take. Charlo hasn't beaten anybody of substance and is nothing more than a hype job at this point.

lil g hasn't "beaten anybody of substance" cuz he lost to Jacobs, Nelo & had a small struggle against a welterweight....LOL
