    - Canelo

    - Winner of Jacobs/Derevyanchenko to recapture IBF title
    - Once he unifies 160 move up and challenge for a title at 168.
That's a solid, appealing and exciting list. That's four fights. IMO GGG overtrains a little, but that could also be his natural enjoyment of the sport. He doesn't seem to have great struggles making weight, and I don't think these long spells in protracted crazy making negotiations with the GB team does his mental health any good.
It's not a part of the game he can be objective and smart about as he's far too much of an emotional, and let's just sign the bloody paper and fight kinda guy, evidenced by how he's reacted to the long lay off caused by putting all his proverbial eggs in the Canelo basket.

Who would the best potential match-up for him be at 168? (I wish Badou Jack was still there that would be a great fight)

shocker, the guy who has been saying for six years that his goal is "all the belts" is now saying he wants his next opponent to be a guy who has one of the belts.

And to anyone who wants to yell about the Canelo match, Ring decided to strip him of the Ring/Lineal belt AFTER the rematch was announced, then for some reason decided they didn't like their own rules, and then decided to throw the vacant ring belt into this match...so still for a belt, though shouldn't be)

        Let’s see
LMW IBF WORLD TITLE in first attempt by 3rd round KO of Bundrage (34-5).

First defense against Wilky Campfort who was 21-1 whose loss was in his 2nd pro fight by 4 round decision.

Next def née was against Austin Trout (yes Austin Trout you know that no name you harp on about that he hasn’t fought).

Next defense Julian Williams by KO who was 21-0

He then move to MW and for his first fight is WBC #1 ranked Jorge Heiland (28-4) AS A MANDATORY with the winner becoming mandatory to winner of Canelo/GGG. He KOd the guy

Next fight for interim WBC Title against 26-1 Hugo Centeno. Another KO.

That’s a lot of nobody’s you e classified there. GTFO with that nobody trash
The biggest win for all of those guys was Trout over an older and smaller Cotto.

        These arent known guys.

I don't think there's too much between Saunders and Charlo when it comes to how attractive a potential fight might be, but Saunders has a belt. That's probably enough to make him the more lucrative option, and as a fan I always want to see more unifications.

That belt argument was done when he opted to fight Vanes instead of his mandatory.

Regardless of the timing, there was a chance to make the fight and he didn't.

Can't go back to the "belts" thing now.

Precisely. Plus I dont think he can fight Murata and not risk losing the WBC.

When a fighter wants the money fights over the good fights, he always defers to his promoter as the one who chooses the fights. As if he works for the promoter.

When a fan wants there guy to avoid a certain fighter, they say "what has that guy done, he brings no money". Are fans supposed to care how much money is made? Don't the fans create the demand for the fight?

If GGG’s genuine goal was “all the belts”, why didn’t he make his IBF mandatory? Instead opting to fight a jr middleweight. On a personal level, I don’t give a damn about belts. So if he had to lose a belt to make the Canelo rematch, so be it. But he needs to be consistent.

BTW, The Ring magazine doesn’t always reflect the lineal title in a division. In Canelo’s situation with the middleweight title it does. Even though the title became almost irrelevant as soon as Cotto lifted it from a crippled Martinez who was cashing out.

Why pay a sanctioning fee to the people who just stripped you?

... actually, the only "news" in the article above is that GGG is looking past Canelo in order to choose his next opponent...
