Comments Thread For: Jacobs-Derevyanchenko: Trainer Caught in Middle of Fight Order

Should Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs) and Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) square off for the vacant IBF middleweight title, trainer Andre Rozier has a decision to make given that he works with both of them. Derevyanchenko was the mandatory challenger for IBF champion Gennady Golovkin.

I bet rozier is happy he gets to avoid GGG. golovkin battered stevens and soundly beat jacobs both trained by rozeir. devrychenko would have gotten slaughtered by ggg.

Rozier has known Danny since he was 14 years old. He's just upset he's going to lose Derev for good.

If this fight is official, Derevyanchenko should do the right thing and step aside to find a new trainer. Rozier is clearly going to pick Jacobs for sure because of their long and close relationship, but I know he really doesn't want to pick a side and leave Derevyanchenko. He has no choice though.

Derevyanchenko finding a new trainer as soon as the fight is official would make things easier for Rozier.

BLACK KNOT your facts are KNOTTED UP. GGG WON a close decision where if not for the KNOCKDOWN earlier the fight would of been a draw or JACOBS WIN. Hope I never see you lawding JOSHUA as a champion when he never even took them off FURY to begin with.

Derevyanchenko would be gutted because the trainer would do the same what happened with Kovalev vs Ward.

Is this really what the IBF stripped GGG for? More confusion. They can't even get the fight they ordered together. They must be feeling like some real dumazzes at this point.

IMO D-Chenko needed at least 2 more fights before he was ready for GGG and now they want him to fight his stablemate for peanuts and its becoming increasing clear these 2 really don't want to fight each other...

                    Careful what you wish for.....
