    Wlad was offered 8 million.

If Matchroom wanted the longest reigning current beltholder to come to Britain all they had to do is pay that beltholder an amount consistent with what they paid others they wanted to come over.

    They didn't.

Instead, they lowballed him. A Wilder vs Whyte fight was easily stadium worthy the way Brits show up for fights. It may not have done 70,000 like AJ, but I think a gate of 50,000 and a million Skybox PPVs was entirely possible. Add those numbers up and you can start to understand why Wilder- and anyone who isnt an AJ fanboy- called it disrespectful.

    Let's plug in numbers.

50,000 probably means at least 5 million at the gate.

One million PPV buys nets 9 million after the cable companies take theirs.

That's 14 million without even counting US TV rights, sponsorships, etc.

If he pays Wilder 4 million and Whyte 2 million, that leaves 8 million.

Guess who gets that? Are you figuring it out yet?

Look, it's OK if you like AJ.

    I do too.

But, let's not get so carried away with fandom that we totally ignore the truth.
First off .. Martin's guarantee was $5million, not $7million, and it's estimated he ended up making about $6million. Wlad ended up with considerably more than $8million, but he was a much bigger name in the UK than Wilder!

And you don't seem to realise how big AJ is over here compared to Dillian Whyte. He has way, way more fans, so Hearn can pay way, way more for opponents to come over and fight him.

Hearn is on record saying he would probably have lost money if Wilder had accepted his $4million offer, but viewed it as a good investment, and I see no reason to doubt that.

Whyte was never in a position to be ducked he still isn't

As soon as IBF and WBC ordered a tough eliminator he ran away

This guy's name is "Boxing Clever." Check his articles. It's Eddie Hearn himself, or one of the other UK Eddiots that boxingscene allows to publish biased articles on this site.

Who cares what Dillan Shyte thinks....

                You must be joking

There is absolutely no way Whyte-Wilder has a gate of 50,000 people or a million PPV buys

The way they decided by bringing in Molina.
But why Molina instead of Dillian Whyte, who was ranked higher than both Breazeale and Molina by the WBC?

I watched the interview with Sulaiman when he explained how the WBC "owed" Breazeale a final eliminator. So why didn't they order a final eliminator between Breazeale and their No1 contender ... Dillian Whyte?

The truth is that the WBC are the most corrupt and inconsistant of all the sanctioning orgs right now. Like I said .. I can well understand why Whyte got pissed off with them and decided to go another way to a world title.

That was a fat lie even Parker knew he will make big money fighting Joshua so they both need him to increase their purse

It would sell better now than back then, because of Wilder's beef with AJ and Whyte's KO of Browne, but still nowhere near that much.

And this time last year? Lol .. forget about it!
