Comments Thread For: David Price is Very Interested in Facing Tyson Fury

Olympic bronze medal winner David Price is "definitely" still interested in a big domestic showdown with former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Price was in action back in March, when he suffered a brutal fifth round knockout loss at the hands of former world champion Alexander Povetkin. The contest was part of the undercard to the Anthony Joshua-Joseph Parker unification at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Sounds like the U.K. version of Holmes vs. Esch.

Fury won't take it. He didn't want it when he was British champ and Price was his mandatory and so dumped the belt and suddenly became Irish and fought Rogan for the Irish title.

Now with him out of shape and rusty as hell he won't take that risk even if Price has been exposed as glass jawed and having no stamina.

PATHETIC! Tyson Fury's only meaningful defense was a British/Euro HW title vs. Dereck Chisora! What a fraud!

Ive wanted to see these 2 fight for a long time and it seems like the best timing possible. When fury beat wlad and was champ, price wasn't on that level, but since he's on a comeback route, its an ideal time, especially as price put a decent account of himself against AJ's next opponent

I can't blame Price one bit for wanting the payday. I wonder about his brain health after so many knockouts, and I'm curious how he keeps getting high level fights, but I can't blame him for the paycheck he's getting.

                    Damn Price is tall!

I honestly didn't know he was taller than Fury.

That said, at this exact moment, that's a good fight because Fury lacks the KO power that has plagued Price several times.
