Canelo is a "big name" in boxing, but he does not have a title @ 160 and he does not have a title @ 154. I don't think stopping Canelo makes GGG P4P #1. I think stopping Linares @ 135, was a bigger deal for Loma, because Loma was the guy moving up after winning @ 126, and 130! Same w/ Crawford, winning @ 130 and 135, moving up to win all 4 belts @ 140, and then moving up to win a title @ 147! Same w/ Mikey, winning @ 126 and 130, moving up to win @ 135, then up again to win a title @ 140! I can't put GGG over Loma, Crawford, and Mikey!

Ill put GGG p4p #1 if he beats Canelo. That would be the highest ranked guy all 3 have beaten. Loma comes in second at beating Rig. P4P at the time around #8. But that was also going up 2 divisions.

Golovkin is the #1 p4p IF he beats Canelo. No current p4p has beat another prime p4p boxer even if Lomatards believe 122lb 40 year old Rigo counts.

If GGG would've beaten Canelo @ 154/155, back in 2015/2016, I would've made him #1, but Canelo has not proven anything @ the full 160. Linares was the champ @ 135, and Loma beat him in his first fight @ 135. I know Linares was not a P4P fighter, but he was a long established champion @ 135, and Loma beat him by KO! I think that's more than GGG winning a rematch with a MW w/o a title!

Without accepted criteria, this P4P thing is nonsense, fun yes, but nonsense nonetheless. Are we talking about the best boxer, the best fighter or what? These are not the same. If it is skill level that determines P4P, then Lomachenko and Crawford are no. 1 and no. 2. Flip a coin to determine which is which.

Linares is good solid B fighter but his chin keeps him out of the "A" category. Mikey Garcia would beat Linares also. Yes moving up does count.

And your probably right about Canelo. This is his 3rd fight at MW. He has only 1 win against a Chavez Jr.

This fight is bigger for Canelo's rise on the P4P list because he will have moved up from 154 to beat GGG at the full 160! If Canelo beats GGG, look at his resume compared to Mikey, Crawford, Spence, and Lomachenko's!

Canelo's resume blows all there's away. Canelo has fought future HOFamers and P4Pers multiple times.
