I wouldn't say they're going to fail that bad man haha.

They could be successful if they open the war chest and offer massive deals to big stars. Double their money and they'll sign.

More than likely its gonna be a lot of......

Unfortunately this is the Floyd Mayweather effect. The guy was the worst thing to ever happen to the sport of boxing. If only the judges didn't rob Jose Luis Castillo in the first fight, then things would have turned out differently.

I'm a fan of boxing and UFC. What he has wrong is UFC use to give us great fights. Then Conor came around and belts, time frames went out the window. Lots of champs taking a year off.
So he shouldn't be talking **** about boxing.

Highest guaranteed purse is $3 million *fact check please*). A boxer doesn't need to be a PPV star to get $1 million purses.

For example, a guy like Danny Garcia has been fighting at the top of the sport since 2012. He's been making north of $1 million since fighting Zab. Since the first Morales fight he's made north of $10 million. That's better career earnings than about 80% of the NFL.

It might not be the best for the fans, but from his perspective (and his family interests), it's smart career management.
You are a very decent poster and you've highlighted the issue, namely, that a most boxer's best interests are not in a fan's best interests. Danny Garcia is no longer hungry. We want to see him fight more as fans but we don't get to see that. And that goes for countless other fighters too.

The only thing these sportsmen are going to be motivated by is money.

They should be paid less for lesser opponents.
There should be more than just accolades for fight and fighter of the year.
How about retaining a high % of earnings in a simple heavily regulated account so that they don't have millions to lose spending during their active years? This would never wash but these are ideas borne of frustration.

I can't see White having any real success unless he invests serious money.

He can't get away with paying fighters peanuts and having no serious rivals to contend with.

It's not a bad idea. I think the NFL gives their players this option. I don't think many take advantage of it but boxers would benefit greatly from something like this.

He would say something ****** like that too.. someone has to tell this dude to give up in the right shirts like he’s trying to convince all the people if something he’s trying to convince himself of that no ones cares about. Listen this guy he said something ****** during the press tour before Floyd have his guy the beating and he didn’t mean it but his ego is so inflated he’s convinced himself that he can in his mind “fix” boxing.. he’s shot but not so ****** to really try, he will figure out how much money he’s ok with losing and then sign and ruin some young kids career or some older fighter maybe cashed out.. either way this isn’t real
