And Wlad was in his 40s, coming off a very long layoff, after a humiliating defeat where he looked horrible.

Still ballsy to fight him at that point in AJ's career, but let's be honest, AJ went life and death with an old, rusty Wlad who hadn't looked good in years.

So much for the goodwill campaign, lol.

Every objective viewer of this situation sees what it is; the public were finally excited about a heavyweight unification fight, both fighters talked up wanting the fight, the deal points were all painfully hashed out, one side clearly stalled the fight with smokescreens, and now, right as the terms were finally set, the side that was stalling the fight jumps out of the fight that was being worked on.

After all that talk of not wanting to see Joshua in a short camp, and all that talk about Alvarez-Golovkin being finalized pushing the fight off until November, Eddie Hearn is closing a deal to throw Joshua into the ring with maybe the #3/#4 heavyweight fighter in the sport with maybe a 10-week camp and no concern for competing with the re-air of Alvarez-Golovkin 2.

Have fun with that press tour, lol

Joshua does not have a win that is better than wilder's Ortiz win. Klitschko already had been knocked out a few times and fury made him look like an amateur. What other fight makes Joshua resume so great? I'll wait.

AJ has never faced a consensus top 4 heavyweight. Wladimir was a great commercial win, but after 18 months out of the ring, and a humiliating defeat before the lay off where he looked like he had nothing left, many had Wladimir unranked due to the inactivity.

Wilder on the other hand dominated Stiverne when Stiverne was rated #2 or #3 by all the most respected rankings. When Wilder knocked out Ortiz, most had Ortiz #4 in the world.

It's rewriting history to claim when AJ fought Parker, Whyte, Breazeale etc that they were as highly regarded as Stiverne and Ortiz were when Wilder fought them.

Facts are facts. Go check Ring, ESPN, IBO, TBRB, Boxrec etc. UK fans try to rewrite history to ignore how highly regarded Stiverne and Ortiz were when Wilder beat them and they rewrite history to make Wladimir, Parker, Whyte etc more highly regarded than they were when AJ beat them.

I think it’s only fair after watching what’s been going down the last 6 months regarding AJ /Wilder

For fans to question AJs integrity ( since he said he’d accept 50 mil then when presented with the offer went ghost ) and his desire to fight Wilder after allowing Hearn to control the situation which has IMO damaged AJs rep among boxing fans

AJ must not think so. Would have been a very easy 50 million if Wilder was simply a fraud paper champion.

So beating an undefeated Ortiz at 40 is "pretty much done" But beating Klitchko at 41 after already being soundly beaten by Fury and inactive for a year and a half is somehow a great achievement.

Just because Wilder has a more padded record doesn't mean Joshua has fought better opposition. Joshua claimed he would accept 50 mil, Hearn confirmed the 50 mil offer was real, and yet he turned it down. Now he wants to fight Wilder and not even giving him a chance at a rematch in the USA if he loses. I wouldn't be surprised if the rematch clause for if Joshua loses was for a second fight in the UK.
