Its simple because hes NOT !

As a matter of fact after stating this he said .............

"It is a great fight, it is one of the biggest fights in the world and everyone wants it. It will be 50-50 or else we don't see a fight." December 5th 2017

Clearly such a confident guy wouldn't lay such a tough ground work from the start right ? This was about 3 months earlier when Hearn was trying to negotiate a fight , so whos actually throwing up the road blocks ? lol

He ended the bizarre interview with this ......

"When it all boils to this beautiful fight happening, they are not going to care about the splits. "

Well someone cared ,that someone DEMANDED 50% split !

This is pointing to the fact of the 15.5 Million he AGREED to .

The hard truth Wilder wasnt confident without a rematch and was not happy with getting an amount that he has to split with 5 manager bc taking an L doesnt cash him out .

Of course hes so confident right ?

So again can anyone of his fanboys explain why he needs a rematch claus that stops a MEGA fight from happening when the B side demanding one if they lose is unheard of ? lol
Anybody that's a champion fighting away from home and doesn't have a rematch clause is an idiot.
