Why Did Wilder Need a Rematch If He Thinks Joshua To Be Easy ?

"I knock Joshua out and don't be surprised if it is in the first round. But I definitely knock Joshua out. " ?????????

Its simple because hes NOT !

As a matter of fact after stating this he said .............

"It is a great fight, it is one of the biggest fights in the world and everyone wants it. It will be 50-50 or else we don't see a fight." December 5th 2017

Clearly such a confident guy wouldn't lay such a tough ground work from the start right ? This was about 3 months earlier when Hearn was trying to negotiate a fight , so whos actually throwing up the road blocks ? lol

He ended the bizarre interview with this ......

"When it all boils to this beautiful fight happening, they are not going to care about the splits. "

Well someone cared ,that someone DEMANDED 50% split !

This is pointing to the fact of the 15.5 Million he AGREED to .

The hard truth Wilder wasnt confident without a rematch and was not happy with getting an amount that he has to split with 5 manager bc taking an L doesnt cash him out .

Of course hes so confident right ?

So again can anyone of his fanboys explain why he needs a rematch claus that stops a MEGA fight from happening when the B side demanding one if they lose is unheard of ? lol

The deal Wilder agreed to didn't include a rematch if Wilder lost. You're not making any sense.

Wilder has a manager, an advisor, and a trainer, who split the usual manager commission. Wilder is paying the usual cut, it's Haymon & Finkel splitting it, with a tiny piece given to the trainer for discovering Wilder originally.

I didnt say anything about what Wilder agreed to.

Im pointing out what a BASIC A and B side consists of on rematches .

I think Hearn should have included a 2 fight deal.

However it shows Wilder isnt confident .and based on all his boasts and openly stating he would accept ANY offer , well..........

        Nice try though !

I heard also that one of the 2 reasons Wilder declined to sign the contract was that he wouldn't be given a rematch clause if he lost to Joshua.

I remember this same thing in the Canelo-Golovkin contract and negotiations where Canelo had a rematch clause if he lost but Golovkin didn't have a rematch clause if he lost. Though Golovkin signed the contract anyway.
