So tell me, why did Wilder agree to an offer with no specific date set in stone? If he knew there wasn't one, why request a contract?
This is simply not true. AJ turned down the deal when he saw what stipulations were involved by analysing the deal (giving up everything for only potentially 50%) this was not what he said yes to.
Again, this is a lie. He said AJ wants a 12 week camp to fight. He will not allow Wilder to stall on signing the contract until 8 weeks out the fight, otherwise AJ loses 4 weeks of preparation to the wrong opponent.
We also know that a fight with Wilder is a bigger deal in the US than a fight with Povetkin. For this reason it's ok for a September fight with Povetkin to go ahead because it won't really be affected by Canelo/GGG where as a fight with Wilder would be. I called it a couple of weeks ago that Hearn wouldn't be able to secure the best deal possible with DAZN or Showtime close to the Canelo/GGG fight and it turns out I was right.
Hearn complained that he didn't know if the 50 million offer was real, then when it was proven real, he still wasn't interested, proving it not being real was just an excuse anyway.
Hearn said September wasn't enough time to get ready for Wilder, even though he was planning to fight Povetkin in September all along.
9/22 is 12 weeks away. How is that not enough time for training camp for Wilder? But it's enough time for Povetkin? Hearn's excuses don't make any sense.
