Hearn never wanted this fight next. Povetkin 9/22, but let's move away from Sept. because of Canelo? Sign the contract....with no date. With nothing saying the fight is next? Please.
If you really want the fight, why is an exact date that important? Wilder's team were told October/November as they were still working out what date worked best for TV networks. Eddie supplied them with a date anyway.

The reason the Povetkin fight can happen in September is because it's not US PPV.

Wilder will only have himself to blame if Povetkin knocks AJ out. It would mean a rematch and more mandatory's meaning we won't see the fight until 2020.

Notice how Hearn never contradicts what Winkel said happened in his tweets. Contracts for the 50M were never drawn because they never agreed. Hearn was provided with proof of funds and said he was satisfied. But it wasn't Team Wilder guaranteeing the money but an outside source.

What promoter misses out on making the biggest fight of his fighters career and talks **** to the opposing team in a "too bad too sad" manner as if they too didn't miss out on an opportunity?

      Still haven't heard from Joshua.

Yep, one fighter sat on a contract for a week and didn't sign. Wilder lost his pen or his balls.

I did read him mention that it won’t work due to US PPV. But it still seems there was major stalling on hammering out those details. Then as soon as Wilder’s team said the contract will be sent back signed, this Povetkin thing comes up with 24hrs to accept. It’s just too sketchy not to believe something was done to keep this fight at bay for now.

"Below is the correct chronology of where we are with the contract for the Anthony Joshua Deontay Wilder mega fight:

On June 11, 2018, Deontay Wilder accepted Matchroom’s offer to fight Anthony Joshua in the UK, this took Matchroom by surprise never thinking that Wilder would accept their below-market offer.

Shortly after Eddie Hearn went public saying that we would receive a contract by Friday June 15th. When in fact we did not receive a contract until late on Monday June 18th.

On Tuesday June 19th, we requested a clarification of two points. They did not respond.

I requested them again on Thursday June 21st and we finally received a response on Friday June 22nd.

Two days later on Sunday June 24th, I sent them a letter acknowledging Eddie’s email of June 22, telling them they would have the contract back by Friday June 29th.

"Since the contract did not state the date or the venue, I also asked for that information.

"These are the facts and Matchroom will have the contracts back to them by Friday June 29th," he added.

All being well, fans can begin to look forward to one of the biggest heavyweight fights of the last two decades.

That date and venue mentioned by Finkel will be revealed once Joshua and Wilder have signed their portions of the deal.

Finkel also said their side wants the fight and has accepted the financial terms Hearn laid out in his counter offer, as well as agreeing to fight Joshua in the United Kingdom, his home country. Hearn's last public offer to Wilder was a flat fee of $15 million, an increase over his previous offer of $12.5 million...

"I want to make it clear that Deontay Wilder wants this fight more than Anthony Joshua does, which is evidenced by the fact that Wilder accepted a flat purse for this fight, which is unheard of for a fight of this magnitude," Finkel said.

If they were truly planning on a fight with Joshua actually taking place why would he still be ragging on about Joshua not wanting the fight. This just seems like a mix between an attempt at a smear campaign against Joshua and a PR stunt to promote Wilder. What do they get out of doing this?

They keep ranting because Hearn keeps lying! If I were Wilder, and I offered AJ $50 million dollars (which AJ asked for), and 50% of the total revenue, to fight me in the states, and he said NO, I would be livid!!! Then, on top of that I agree to fight in the UK and accept a FLAT-FEE, and they still say NO, I would be the angriest man on the planet!!!
