    I can't believe Wilder accepted a FLAT-FEE!

    June 26, 2018:

Finkel also said their side wants the fight and has accepted the financial terms Hearn laid out in his counter offer, as well as agreeing to fight Joshua in the United Kingdom, his home country. Hearn's last public offer to Wilder was a flat fee of $15 million, an increase over his previous offer of $12.5 million...

"I want to make it clear that Deontay Wilder wants this fight more than Anthony Joshua does, which is evidenced by the fact that Wilder accepted a flat purse for this fight, which is unheard of for a fight of this magnitude," Finkel said.

Many of us is not surprised at this because we knew this was the plan all along. AJ is a cash cow, why risk that now when there is still money to be made.

Wilder only has himself to blame if this fight doesn't get made. He massively overestimates his worth in the fight and now he better hope Povetkin doesn't retire Joshua otherwise he's going to have to fight another 4-8 fights to earn the same money he could of earned fighting Joshua.

Right. I see a lot of posters seem to want to ignore that the 4 weeks between the first "improved" Hearn offer and Wilder accepting terms was them negotiating for a higher flat fee and trying to convince Hearn/Joshua to accept the $50M offer.

If Povetkin is a bum, where is Brezeale in the rankings by comparison?

I agree with Hearn. Something this big and this important with the Povetkin people waiting for an answer team Wilder should not be ***ing around. They should read that contract the minute they get it. How long does that take. It shouldn't take more than an hour to read it and reread it. If there is anything in the contract they don't like then they get on the damn phone and say so immediately the same day. Instead they say will will sign in a week or or so. They act like they have all the time in the world when they don't. They left Hearn with no choice but to move on and make the Povetkin fight.

Lol funny part about that is if wilder had sent a contract over the same way Hearn did aj fans would be all in for trying to get more info “dragging there feet”. I don’t blame wilder for not just signing the contract cause the simple fact Hearn is a 🐍.
