Comments Thread For: Hearn: Wilder Talks Frustrating; Looks Like Joshua-Povetkin Next

Eddie Hearn can't understand what's taking Deontay Wilder's handlers so long to respond in any way to the contract they were sent last week for a huge heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Team Wilder not interested in that fight at this point.....they knew Josh would have to fight Povetkin first if they just wait a bit.....

9 days is along time to hold a contract without going back and forth at all... I always figured hearn/Joshua wanted the Povetkin fight first and Wilder/Breazeale. Think this fight does happen... But around February when they have 6 months to promote it after there next outing

Except thats not what happened. There has apparently been back and forth. Hearn is just claiming it's not happening as fast as he'd like, which is weak. 9 days is not that long for contract negotiations for fights of this magnitude.

This fight would be made if they both really wanted it to. Fly out, sit around a table and get **** done. Tired of hearing all these excuses as to why the fight won't happen.

Hearn has no right to complain about any delays in signing, when he sent the contract 3 days after the date he promised, and also delayed in giving clarifications to 2 items in the contract. Furthermore, Finkel has stated that there was not a date or venue in the contract either, so wouldn't that raise a red flag.
