I haven't been too impressed with Jacobs since the golovkin fight. He hasn't had the same intensity and lacks killer instinct in there which derev could well exploit. I'm not saying that derev is pirog. But for some reason I see Jacobs losing his concentration in the middle of the fight and getting clocked cold. Man down.

Derev is not THAT good either. Jacobs might be able to win based on size.

It's possible, but Derevyanchenko is a vastly different fighter from Pirog. Pirog was a tall and rangy and moved well. Derevyanchenko is more compact, powerful and counters well.

Do agree that Jacobs has looked incredibly bad last fight. He didn't even try getting up for that fight. I think he knows Derevyanchenko well enough that he'll know that messing around is not an option, and we'll see a similar person who fought Golovkin.

Have you guys seen Dev fight? I don't think that happens. I don't even see their fight going down as Jacobs isn't going to take 25% of a purse bid. If they were to fight I see an ugly mauling type of brawl

Two completely different type of fighters. If the fight happens, Sergiy fights to Jacobs strengths.

I think your wishing that would be the case but it won't. Jacobs beats him in the cards.

I got Jacobs by KO. Jacobs is really difficult to counter particularly if you are giving up so much reach. I think Jacobs is going to come right at Derev early, taking advantage of Derev's relative professional inexperience.

if the fight even happens, which I doubt...

Jacobs looks like he always looks. All this stuff of he doesn't look the same post GGG is hilarious. This is a man that was dropped by Mora in their first meeting. He's going to have some lulls in every fight. He fought GGG very well and if felt threatened, he will fight his vs Derevyanchenko. They have had a lot of sparring sessions, and word is Jacobs pretty much had his way against everyone in his gym. I think he would win a decision here, but have some tough moments.

Why did your man crush duck him then?

Experience counts a lot and Jacobs is a much better fighter now. His last two performances he really didn't put it all out there because he didn't have to but he still beat a good fighter in Sulecki.

Dev will be a tough opponent as he would for anybody at 160 but Jacobs has too many tools and will win a fairly close decision.
