Do you think Wilder should have signed a contract with no fight date? Is it possible that the contract didn't have explicit language stipulating that Joshua next fight would be against Wilder?

Who do you think benefits most from this turn of events? Do you really think Wilder would give up $13M to avoid Joshua? If that contract was clean and free of poison pills, doesn't he risk losing out on all that money in the event that Povetkin pulls off a huge upset?
I'm not the WBA so I can't comment. But what we do know is this was hanging over Joshua for some time now. The WBA called it, so Joshua has to fight or be stripped. Claiming Hearn bribed the WBA is nothing but slander with not a shred of evidence to back it up.

If Hearn had to get the venue and date sorted before signing, wouldn't that have taken much longer? Hearn was trying to hurry things up before the WBA came breathing down his neck. We all knew the date was in Oct or Nov time. We all knew that Cardiff was going to be the venue of choice.

No, I think Wilder ducks the fight because he never really wanted it. His actions and what he says are two completely different things. They contradict each other. So we'll go with facts and reality on this one. Plus, he doesn't want the fight in the UK. He's hoping somehow he can get the fight in the states. If you remember last year he came out and said he wanted 50/50 split of the money and it had to take place in the states otherwise there will be no fight. Remember that? Because I certainly do.

Wilder is a b*tch plain and simple. He's been taking his time right from the off. I even called that out so i'm not surprised in the slightest.

Hearn was trying to get the fight signed before the WBA forced them to take the mandatory. Date and venue can be easily sorted later. Hearn had a time limit to get this fight on so he was just trying to hurry things up.

If Hearn was trying to hurry up he wouldnt have sent the contract four days after he lied to everyone and said he sent it. He also would have replied to Finkel in a timely manner when he had concerns with the contract. Hearn doesn't believe his guy can beat Wilder.

You've seen how long it's taken them already. But you want to assume this gets fast-tracked? You're dreaming.

So spell out how Wilder is worth more then? Is he getting peanuts just for the fun of it?

lol man no matter what you say they will give hearn a pass but condemn wilders team, I understand they love the guy but the fact that they cant at least admit that he has been on some bullsht during these negotiations shows that its really no reason to go back n forth with them. sometimes I do it to get through work but its become too much, they are too unbalanced and unfair. its obvious what has happened here with the WBA "24 hour" crap. was there even a purse bid yet with pedvtkin?

And with the mandatory hanging over him, time was of the essence.

So save yourself from writing a load of bull**** down. There are enough Wilder loonies around as it is. No need to add to it.
Ha!!!! So he wanted the contracts SIGNED and THEN he wanted to pick the date and venue? Um, is the contract signed for 2019 or something? Why exactly does he already have a venue and date for that fight already? All of a sudden once he gets word that the contract will get back to him by Friday, the WBA gives a 24 hour mandate? Interesting.....

Trust me, Hearn had no desire for this fight to take place in 2018.

Aren't you ignoring the FACT that Wilder said he had no problem fighting in the UK. Are you ignoring the fact that Wilder said that he understood that he had to take short money to get the opportunity to be undisputed.

So which is it? Never wanted it? or Wanted it in the US? Make up your mind!!!!

Povetkin is an Olympic gold medalist his credentials and stature within the division clearly have him head and shoulders above anyone not named Wilder or AJ currently active fighting at the highest level.
You can be shot and not have done anything in your career to date. It's not just reserved for good to great fighters you know.

Most fans in Britain don't really know much about Povetkin so Hearn got him a fight to show him off. Being a gold medallist doesn't even come into it. I mean, do you know every gold medallist in every sport?

As I stated in my prior response, the "worth" conversation is dead. It's a fools errand to continue to discuss it with anyone.
