I'd like to see this fight next but Frank won't put Yarde in with a puncher like Burton.

Burton v Bug 2 will happen sooner as some others have stated on this thread. First was excellent.

FW knows the impatience of boxing fans and is letting them hype this as if Burton is some threat when he's not. Cr4p fight that fans will somehow turn into an apparent 50\50.

Its not a good fight. People are just so eager to see Yarde step up they're overrating Burton and his resume which is every bit as terrible as Yardes.

Hosea is just a highly trained amateur. As a tall fighter you should learn how to jab and counterpunch and Hosea had no idea how to do this in the Buglioni fight. All he did was jump in with shots then jump back out to get away from punches. Yarde would outclass him and break him in half.

Burton should shut the hell up until he beats someone beyond a low level domestic fighter. I don't know what makes this clown think he would beat, let alone stop Yarde when he got stopped by a one dimensional, brawler in Buglioni. Yarde might be getting a lot of hype, some of which is premature, but he's already miles past Burton in terms of competition. I'd like to see Warren put Yarde in with a legitimate fringe contender like Murat, Mikhalkin or even someone further down like Monahhan or Mike Lee but Burton needs to beat someone with a pulse and/or avenge his loss to Buglioni before he goes calling out other prospects. His last three opponents were 5 2 2, 5 0 0 and 4 3 1. He's done nothing to prove he'll ever be anything more than domestic or possibly euro level.

Yarde would bully him - Frank is doing Anthony disservice by keeping him away from domestic fights that would get him more attention, hype than he is getting by fighting no-name European imports.
Sek isn't even that much worse than Burton, imo.

Sek may actually beat Burton. He's a pretty tough guy, has a decent skill set and has better wins than Burton.

As long as Yarde immediately goes on to fight the domestic challengers I don't think his career progression has been too much of a problem because I can see clear improvement. He's more than ready for Burton now though, then there is Buglionne, Callum Johnson and Joshua Buatsi. In 5 or 6 fights he should be aiming to show that he's the best in Britain and then go on to world level.

At this stage I think Johnson and Buatsi beat Yarde. I think he'd match up favourably to Marcus Browne, but I've only seen 2 or 3 of Browne's fights

I really doubt Johnson beats Beterbiev. Let's see how he does there. His only decent win is Buglioni, which was an impressive win but Buglioni is much more basic than Yarde. I'd like to see the fight. I'm still picking Yarde if it ever happens.

No other fighter even Eubank who was hyped at least fought somebody who is remotely decent, Yarde is going the WBO European route which means he is a fraud.

He has turned down world title fights yet thinks he should not be rushed.

By 2022 he might fight a undefeated oppoenent we have heard of absolute disgrace

I would like to see Yarde stepped up a bit quicker but you're a moron who doesn't understand boxing, levels and proper experience if you think he should've taken the fight with Kovalev. He needs to fight a fringe contender, then a legit contender, then go for the title holders.

You see - Sek is pretty solid - He was highly competitive with Woge and Krasniqi and while fighting solid European fighters, he was never close to being dominated.
People pretty much assume that it was a bum-fight because Yarde's team turns down domestic fights that people want to see - but at this stage of Anthony's career, it was impressive performance and win.

I just think that Frank's ultra-safe approach where he has to control everything is stopping Yarde from building his brand. Those LHW's Hearns has are not all that. Yarde would be favorite against all of them and would get much more attention against recognisable guys to British public, with more hype about fights etc...

What Franks has to think about is that with Bivol, Gvozdyk, Betterbiev, Kovalev, Jack... you're not going to have an easy, vacant title fight that he'd probably like to have. So for how long will you keep Yarde protected? I think he should have more confidence in him.

Totally agree. I think Yarde is currently the top LHW in the UK which is why Frank should let him off the lease a little quicker. At the same time, it was smart not to accept the Kovalev fight. Kovalev's camp knows Yarde is inexperienced and would get overwhelmed.

I don't see how in the minds of some yarde bullies Burton but buglioni gives yarde more difficulty. They both have a higher technical celling than yarde and in all honesty right now.. buatsi..Johnson..buglioni and Burton beat him.
