arum has no say in this fight. all he did was make sure its televised.

He signed the distribution rights for this fight through his PPV service because initially, he didn't want to sever all ties to Manny Pacquiao since he is no longer under contract with Top Rank.

Therefore, he wanted to work with Manny in some capacity. However, knowing Arum, it wouldn't surprise me, if he breaches the contract for the distribution of this event on his Pay Per View channel since he is not the one promoting it.

Moreover, the reason why Arum never wanted the fight anyway is because Matthysse is not part of his stable or talent roster. He is promoted by a rival promoter which is in this case Golden Boy Promotions and Bob has a penchant of keeping all his fighters in house.

Pacquiao has missed deadlines on the money. This sounds purely bad business on Pac's part.

Then it sounds like someone is freezing his line of credit because the Malaysian government had initially agreed to do business with Manny by securing him a line of credit. If he doesn't get that money and soon then this fight is going to tank.

I still say and believe that there may be some manipulations behind the scenes because why is Manny missing money deadlines and who is holding those funds up?

One thing I know for certain is that Bob is very happy right now. It only goes to show that Pac can't make it without him.

Golden Boy declined comment on the issue but said Matthysse continues to train with Joel Diaz in Indio, California, in preparation for the bout.

MP Promotions has also failed to make deadlines to deposit funds needed to cover production costs of commercial spots and other aspects of a fight that was initially going to be an ESPN pay-per-view event. HBO wanted to make the Crawford/Matthysse a year or so ago.
Bobfather said no and went on a rant saying Nelson can't tell him what to do with his fighters.
HBO was then forced to make Postol vs Matthysse.

I agree. For one he is hurt because Manny left him and two he is jealous because Manny is now working with Oscar De La Hoya; A rival competitor.

As far as him saying he would work with Golden Boy to co-promote a Crawford vs a Matthysse fight; It's a bunch of bullshit. That was the main reason why he was against Pac fighting Lucas in the first place because he is promoted by a rival promoter.

In addition, we all know Arum. He likes to keep all his fighters in house among his own stable.

If the fight gets cancelled it is Pacquiao's fault and if it does he should have known better. This wouldn't be the first time things like this happen with him.
