Kudos and big ups to Gennady Golovkin for standing his ground. He forced Oscar to bend more than usual because De La Hoya has a lot riding on this fight. He has a lot of sponsors lined up for this particular bout. So the pressure was definitely on him as the promoter to get this deal done and contract signed as soon as possible or he would have risked losing a lot of his credibility as a promoter and not to mention the collateral damage it would have done to his company's good name and reputation had the fight had fallen through because this fight was over a year in the making and he has made a lot of promises to lot of investors since that time.

Your not looking around this whole situation. If they don't fight Nelo fights billy hoe then lil g will be stuck with Jermall & that's what lil g & his team DON'T want #Twinkies. BigStomps, here's an impartial view... GGG won that (my opinion 7 -5 GGG) Canelo fought in bursts, that doesn't win rounds. If it goes to points I give it to Canelo if not GGG puts him to sleep. For boxing I would like GGG for the win... why? Simple, drugs has no place in sports.

GGG is still undefeated and already broke Hopkins record since Hopkins cheated by fighting 3 stumble bums guys twice and basically Hopkins fought BUMS from 1995 to 2001 and Tito was a welterweight over the hill.
