AJ has only been ‘protected’ by a ref in 1 fight and I don’t think that altered the outcome. Not sure how you think his career is protected when the only other champ is 40-0 with 1 respected name on his record
He's been protected in every fight with a decent opponent. Takam/Parker etc..
It's because JP was reluctant to come into range and made the ridiculous strategy to try and fight from the outside with a fighter with more reach. Coming out with this statement only says to me (*my translation) "I've made mistakes in the ring and gotten clocked in the head by *LESSER* fighters."
JP, I hope you come back well against Whyte, have a better strategy if you get a chance at a rematch with AJ, and make better statements than this in the media.
That referee ruined that whole fight..... He was more active than AJ and Parker, but that fight was a snooze fest!!
Lol yea that super mario ref was wild.. he didn't even speak English.. AJ called his own timeouts.. biting off his tape.. they wouldn't allow parker to work on the inside before calling a break, even when one hand was free.. smh. It was a wierd boring fight!
The title of this thread is extremely misleading, he said no such thing.
What he said was that Joshua didn’t catch him with any big shots so it was hard to rate his power. Seems like a reasonable thing to say, maybe too reasonable to be an attention grabber.
I'm sure there are people who would say wilder wasn't the hardest hitter they fought.
But Josh is the best until proven otherwise.
If Parker had said Josh isn't the best then that would be more interesting
