I actually love Rivas/Jennings, two shorter HW's that are going to come to slug it out, that's a show-stealer. Hopefully they can make that for 08/18.
Jennings has that crazy 84” reach & will Rivas get sanctioned to fight in NJ? The NSAC wouldn’t sanction him a few years ago because of his past retina issues. Owen Beck had the same problems & none of the big commissions would give him a license so he was stuck fighting in the smaller states with less regulations. It would be an interesting fight but if Jennings lost he would probably be done as a title contender. He could still get fights but he would need some help from Uncle Bob to stay relevant...

Wow, I can't believe that Stevenson–Gvozdyk fight might happen after all.

You should know better about those theories. Badou Jack was knocked out in one round and yet he went the distance with Stevenson. Rigo was badly hurt by Merroquin and people said because of that Donaire was going to obliterate him. The list is endless.

Gosh I had forgotten all about that eye problem, IDK, something to watch closely (no pun intended). Unfortunately for Jennings, he never seems to use that reach to his advantage and always end up in phone booth fights where he tries to get in close and work the body. If he does that against Rivas, that will play right into his hands. I think this has the makings of a very fun fight.

Hey, btw, I haven't seen your thoughts on that Kean/Braidwood fight. That final sequence was amazing, crowd seemed awesome. What did you think about the fight and how far Kean can go?

I like Braidwood & he is tough SOB but he started the sport late. He is a decent domestic level fighter & he surprised me with his KO of Martel Bahoeli but I told a local fighter a month ago that he would get exposed by Kean & probably get ko’d early... Kean is the best born Canadian since Chuvalo. He is above domestic level. He showed that when he ko’d Marcelo Nacsimento in a few rounds. Teslenko,Kean & that new russian guy who fights out of Ontario are all looking legit. The canadian champion Miljas mladen is still untested although he ko’d a fat Dillon Carman in 2 rounds following the double knockdown. Braidwood vs Carman is a good domestic fight to make. Braidwood is fun to watch & will fight anyone so I hope he gets a few fights as an “opponent”. I don’t think he can go to the US with his extensive criminal record. The same situation as local LHW Ryan Ford. He had 3 big fights against undefeated prospects & lost but showed he is tough & durable by going 10 & 12 rounds several times. He can’t fight in states either

Well NO SURPRISE! Another Eddie Hearn fighter having to go to purse-bid! Callum Johnson is getting knockout cold by Artur Beterbiev inside five rounds! It amazes me how beating a local euro-bum in Frank Buglioni can get you a world title shot!

It will not come as a shock to me to find out that this bum Johnson passes on the IBF to defend against maybe a E.U bum jr. instead OR even a Anthony Yarde, we know how Mismatchroom operates.

I think we can agree that Badou Jack is no slouch and I think at this stage Jack wins the rematch. The likely reason it's Gvozdyk rather than the others is because the others are champions and I don't think they requested to be ranked by the WBC like the Linares and Garcia situation. In any event, should be a good fight.

That would be a pretty sick card tbf. would be epic to finally see the pimps disgraceful ducking era of holding the belt hostage come to a brutal and brilliant KO end. My Low Place

Huh? If I hadn't seen the thread title I might assume you were talking about Saunders here... wait. You are, aren't you? Did you even read this ish? Saunders isn't even mentioned, in fact it's all about some fairly exciting match-ups at LHW and HW.
