Garcia/Lomachenko is obviously the fight to make
Spence has PLENTY of better - more relevant - options at welter
147 is hot, the top guys need to be steered toward each otherComment

That Mikey calls out too much people and has no intention of fighting them. He wants to fight Spence by the end of the year. He has no intention in around late September he will be mentioning Lomachenko and boxing enthusiasts will shift their attention to that mouth watering contest. However it’s about time someone calls his bluffDid Spence just call out a smaller man? What kind of monster is that? Hunt big game, take the fight if it comes, but this looks weak. He should pick on somebody his own size, maybe bigger, since he's so good. Come up with a real fight, I've seen enough of his mismatches.Comment

First, boxing is a business and it would great business wise for Spence to fight Mikey. Second, Spence didn't call out Mikey, Mikey said he wants to fight Spence and Spence answered a question about it.
Third, the reason not to make a Spence-Mikey fight is because there are three great fights all fans want to see. Wilder-AJ, Spence-Crawford, and Mikey-Loma. A Spence-Mikey fight wouldn't effect two of those fights, but it very well could ruin any chance of a Mikey-Loma fight.
But a fight with Mikey would pay Spence as much as anyone else, and Spence would have a major size advantage. What is Spence supposed to say, no I would rather fight Ugas? Spence did or said nothing wrong. Floyd and Pac both made JMM move up in weight to fight. ODLH fought smaller opponents, including Pac. Canelo fought Khan. g fought Brook. Of course Spence would like a payday, more name recognition, against an opponent he should beat without too much trouble. If there is any blame it is on Mikey for mentioning Spence when Loma is right there. After a Mikey-Loma fight I would like to see Mikey move up to ww. But not before then.Comment

Actually, Mikey called Linares bluff. He moved up in weight, fought a much bigger opponent, who was the only champ at 140. Bud did the same thing, except he fought Dulorme for a vacant belt. Linares and Mikey supposedly had an agreement (according to both sides) to fight after Mikey fought for a belt in a fourth division. Linares then backed out. So Mikey is fighting the best at 135 who will fight him. That Mikey calls out too much people and has no intention of fighting them. He wants to fight Spence by the end of the year. Everyone cried that Mikey moved UP in weight to win a title in a fourth division. So he moved back down, and Linares backed out. Now he is fighting the next best at 135 who will fight him now, since everyone seemed to think Mikey staying at 140 and fighting bigger guys is ducking. Mikey has said he wants Loma. That is the fight to make, and Mikey moved back down in weight to hopefully make that fight.
I don't understand why anyone thinks Mikey wouldn't fight Spence. Yes, Spence would probably ko him, but Mikey seems to want the big fights. And outside of Loma, there are no big fights, big paydays, south of the welterweight division. Mikey said he would like to fight Spence sometime in the future, but he has said he wants Loma first.Comment

I do agree with most of what you wrote. It was well thought out however Sergey Lipinets was nothing but a guaranteed win and to secure another belt in a different weight class. A decision that you can not blame him for jumping at. Now with my own ears in Mikey’s most recent interview with Es news he said he wants Spence in December. His brother said no maybe 2 years time..Mikey has called out Thurman, Cotto, Lomachenko, Danny Garcia, Crawford and now Spence. I has not come within a whisker of making any of those fights. Especially as bar one or 2 of the fighters all the fights would be inceredibly easy to makeActually, Mikey called Linares bluff.
