Because, if he's camp thinks he's ready to fight at the top level, his only real choices were to jump into the tough WBSS tournament (tough fights throughout, but at least he was looking at fair fights) or head over to Top Rank and fight Ramirez at Chuckchansi Park/Savemart Center, with a ref from Fresno and three judges from the central valley.

Tough fights or not, going where you can get a fair shot is a no brainier.
