Looks like they gave him a P4P belt but the middleweight belt is still vacant. At least on Ring's website, anyway.

Read. They held some ****** ceremony to give him ring p4p belt. The mw ring belt is still vacant after Canelo strip.

And I heard that Canelo-GGG will be for the lineal MW belt even though Canelo isn't rated

I think fischer said that they have not held any sort of ceremony for the p4p "belt" in years. ****** publicity stunt.

No problem from my end regarding lineal. Canelo was the former lineal champion while Golovkin has widely been seen as the man in the division for many years.
