Kovalev was terrified of Stevenson. That's why he tried to fight him 3 times ...

Ordering it and making it happen are completely different things, especially when it comes down to Stevenson. Pretty sure they have ordered Alvarez - stevenson too.

are we going to ignore that he signed an hbo contract extension in the interim which changed his outlook and yet still offered stevenson the very same deal for years after this not to mention trying to fight him before when they were both at hbo. look at everything not just one detail. more info is always better than less.

if chickenson tries to play games he'll get stripped of the belt ASAP! alvarez took step aside money. gvozdyk wants a piece of chickenson right now so there will be no step aside deals taking place here. bob arum will make sure of it.

TV was no issue, the WBC mandated that the money be split 50/50, and there was no one that Stevenson could've fought except Kovalev, yet Kovalev no longer wanted the fight.

Try and spin that however you want

The HBO deal was up; that was literally the reason why the WBC let the WBA/IBF/WBO champion fight to become mandatory and mandate the split on that mandatory defense to be 50/50.

Unless Main Events went to the WBC and acted in bad faith, there's no reason why the fight didn't happen when Stevenson had nowhere else to go but fight Kovalev, were it not for Kovalev and his camp walking away from the fight.

If the plan was to use the threat of Kovalev fighting Stevenson on the open market to get HBO to offer a new deal, that should've been said from the jump and the time of the boxing public shouldn't have been wasted with talks of Kovalev actually wanting to fight Stevenson.

                He most likely beats Stevenson.
Soon as Stevenson puts him down everyone on here will call him a bum. You and I both know it’s true.

That’s because there’s a bunch of disrespect fake fans that think a fighter who loses or one they don’t like is a bum. I think Stevenson would deserve a lot of credit if he won rather than **** on Gvozdyk.

I think Gvozdyk beats Stevenson though. By stoppage after the middle rounds.
