All were good to great fighters (put them on the scale where you want), and Floyd left hardly any doubt that he was better than all of them.

If Golovkin is considered an A fighter, then that inherently means that Saul Alvarez, Daniel Jacobs, and likely Billy Joe Saunders are all A fighters as well, since Golovkin has already shown that he's basically on par with Alvarez and Jacobs and his camp wasn't all that gung-ho to fight Saunders either.
Your system lacks common sense. Under you rating system Ricky Hatton's defeat of Castillo is the same as Mayweather's victory. In your system beating a fighter who is washed up is the same as being a fighter when he was truly great. Again, name one of those fighters who was fighting at A level at the time Mayweather fought them (excluding Castillo and Corrales). And get the hell out with Zab Judah being an A level fighter in any scenario.

Castillo was considered by probably more people than not to have beat Mayweather in their first fight. That doesn't mean because some people see them as 1-1 they are basically equivalents. That Castillo is elevated to an A+ fighter as you have him. This coming from a huge Castillo fan.

Your ranking system is just silly and would be laughed off the stage by any person who covers boxing.

Hindsight is a mother****er, but look what Golovkin ended up doing instead: fought Lemieux in front of few PPV homes, Dominic Wade in a silly fight, a welterweight in the UK, and then the Jacobs PPV in front of maybe 150k homes.

Golovkin takes up the offer, and he likely gets the Lemieux PPV, a Ward PPV at 168lbs, the IBF mandatory on HBO, the Jacobs fight on PPV, and then the Canelo PPV. Win or lose on the Alvarez fight, Golovkin has enough of a PPV profile and some money in his pocket that he actually takes that Saunders fight in Kazakhstan to seal the middleweight division, rather than leave his life hostage to Canelo's timeline

He seals his own legacy, lol.
You have no clue if Andre Ward making 168lbs was a problem or not. Fact is he never fought at 168lbs again.

Hindsight? Golovkin got rich. It worked out great for him. No one would have made the decision his haters are suggesting. You haters keep trying and failing. Ward says something and the lil G boys come screaming Golovkin's ducking. It is always something, take the flat fee against Canelo, Golovkin can't get more than X percent. Now it is Saunders, LOL!

Golovkin's legacy to day is excellent. Maybe not as great as some on here want it to be but definitely no where near what the lil g boys think it is . . . not even close.

Everyone else on Golovkin's ledger was basically the drivelling shots.

You add that Andre Ward retiring has basically put things in such flux that there are easily 5 fighters with some claim to being p4p #1, and you're a fool if you're instantly calling Golovkin an A fighter.
This post is straight up comical. What a hot pile of dung.

Pls don't come at me with ****** shyt like that as if that's some kind of reasonable argument. Danny is no where near Joe in talent, fame, achievement, etc.

Joe Frazier is a legend. SMH to those who say otherwise. Comparing Danny Jacobs and Joe Frickin' Frazier LOL!

I've been arguing the toss about how many title defenses Golovkin should be credited with on this and other threads, but that's just cos I'm a bit of a rules nerd, not because it really matters - no, what's actually important is the names you have on that resume, not how long it is.

As you correctly point some dude running his eye down GGGs resume on Boxrec in 30 or 40 years time is gonna be scratching his head... maybe he'll recognise Canelo depending on what happens to the Ginger, but that's probably about it.
This is true. Basically a lot of what I said before the first Canelo fight. (This one always gets a rise from the haters) His resume looked a lot like Hopkins prior to the Tito fight. The win over Tito is what really elevated Hopkins. Golovkin had that chance (though Tito had a much bigger profile/rep than Canelo) and he did not completely succeed, and no where near what Hops did against Tito. Now Hops post Tito and more so post DLH is where he really elevated himself into that legendary figure. But before Tito you look at Hops resume and it was Golovkin like.

That is why it is important for Golovkin to kill it from here on out if he wants to become a true legend. But is that likely, probably not. First not many humans age like Hops did. Also I'm not sure he will be able to move up in weight like Hops, don't think he can add the weight. But time will tell.

Now I think I understand your and so many others on here's problem............

You confuse being an 'A' fighter with and ATG fighter.

I just wanted to clear that up.

And just for the record, Ward is an ATG in my opinion. Not on the RJJR level but around the Calzaghe level. That said, Kovalev beat that a55 in the first fight and was winning the 2nd but nobody is calling him an 'A' fighter.

                  There's something wrong with that.

Could be that those 4 fighters are around the same level and could potentially beat each other in very close fights and rematches.
Everyone is beatable but GGG is still not been proven to be beatable. Don't try acting like Jacobs won. He got out landed 2 to 1 and got dropped.

A class fighter a solid champ with a chin like granite no head movement is my assessment any talk of best ever MW is far fetched i dont care how many times he defended his title vs nigerian witch doctors in monaco
What about defending his title several times in Vegas, LA and NY to top ten ranked fighters in his weight division?

Macklin, Geale, Murray, Lemieux, Jacobs and Alvarez were all top ten MW's. That's 6 in the top ten in his last ten fights.
