It would be a tough grueling fight but I suspect that Danny would take a beating.

Not saying Spence won't rise to the occasion but lets wait and see. Should be a fun ride though!
I don't see any fighters who Spence won't beat at Welterweight. Personally I felt Kell Brook was a top Welterweight who I would have had even up against Thurman.

Brooke is a good fighter but that eye socket problem was his Achilles heel.

Yes, it's refreshing to see a young fighter who doesn't blow hard with bombast and bluster- who can't back it up or resorts to the sort of cheap low tactics by insulting fighters beyond what is reasonable like Ali and Mayweather did, along with others...

It could be a sign of supreme ease within himself, unusual from the now normal ***********al prodigy's who burn bright and fade fast..I don't know much about where he came up..

As for talent, he has it in spades, but I am not quite yet mesmerized as he beat a Kell Brook who obviously had socket problems and now a nobody, but that's a lot more than a hell of a lot of other protected fighters who appear once a year to mismatches.

I am quietly hoping he succeeds wherever he goes, the WW division has some good, maybe even great champions, so if unification battles arrive, I'm sure he'll stand up. But as someone already said, he's is mostly unproven. Winning one belt just isn't enough anymore.

Is Spence part of VADA's random, year-round drug testing program?

                Anyone?

Spence is a beast. #1 p4p. That being said knocking out Ocampo didn't prove anything. Spence said it himself, he did what he was supposed to do. Honestly, I still do not understand at all why Spence needed six months in between Peterson and Ocampo. He barely broke a sweat against Peterson, and didn't even break a sweat against Ocampo. I guarantee he has tougher sparring sessions than his fight Saturday.

The smart move would be for Spence to not wait around. He should get on the undercard of Garcia-Porter. Have him fight Ugas. That would really put the pressure on the winner to face The Truth. But, alas, he will probably wait till the end of the year before he fights again. And again, it will last six or seven rounds at the very most.

Not yet. If the Garcia-Porter fights him, he will be. The thing is, Spence has been asking and calling for a shot at the WBC title for at least the past two or three years. VADA's random, year round testing is called the Clean Boxing Program (CBP) and is mandated by the WBC for any fighter they have ranked.

If you go to Boxrec, right below a fighters ranking, it will say:
                    VADA CBP enrolled.
If it doesn't say that, then the fighter isn't enrolled in it.

The really su****ious fighters are the ones who refuse to fight for the WBC belt, e.g. Loma and AJ.
