First and foremost, GBP didn’t agree to GGG 45% split demands MGM Grand resorts did. A few outlets have reported that MGM resorts agreed to match the 2.5% more GGG was seeking by raising the ticket prices for the fight. So in the end of the day the people who end up getting Foookk is the fans because of GGG greed.

He actually played it smart imo. Golden Boy has a lot more leverage considering they are a bigger promotional firm and have more star power, they can only do so much. His #1 goal is to get as much money as he can for his fighter which gets their firm more money overall.

Its a much different story if both firms have same drawing power(Golden Boy vs Arum), etc.

Exactly. The 55% Canelo would make against GGG is still a lot more than the 80% he would make off fighting Jacobs, for example.
