It’s Haymons fault the IBF strictly enforced their mandos. You want Spence stripped because he didn’t fight this scrub

The blame for this fight is the IBF and their ranking system and how they could have a fighter who has never beaten a top 150 WW and who’s entire resume consists of guys ranked between #150-1200 be put in position to fight for a World Title

I looked at the IBF website and the main 2 criteria for ranking a fighter are Win/loss record and strength of competition faced. How did a fighter like Ocampos get so high when he’s essentially fought sh.it his entire career. As a example I don’t know how long Ugas has been wanting to be ranked by the IBF but in the last 2 years he’s beat Robinson, Dulhorme , Jamal James , Levan the wolf , Perrella all fighters ranked from 20-100 with some sort of established careers , how on earth it took Ugas all this time to just now leapfrog Ocampos as the #1 contender goes against the IBFs rule for rating fighters. He should have leapfrogged Ocampos just off the James , Perrella fights alone because Ocampos was busy fighting Janitors

Freaking Ponamarev was supposed to fight him for the mandatory slot and he pulled out a week beforehand. At least he was another undefeated fighter at the top of the rankings.

Great to see him get huge support in Texas! He should continue to fight in Texas would love to see Spence Jr vs Thurman or Crawford in Cowboys Stadium as a Mega Bout that is probably a Dream Of His I'm sure!

First I’m not sh.itting on Ocampos he should get props for taking the fight in which the only
Outcome was him getting beat down. I’m just ranting on the IBF ranking and giving Mandos to guys who don’t or shouldn’t deserve it


Don’t even get me started on Ponomarev

I think he did the same thing against Spence. That’s 2x you pull out of elimination fights the guy should be dropped from the ranking not be allowed to stick around in the top 10 it’s obvious he doesn’t want the strap why Rank him

Ponomarev is just a slightly better version of Ocampos in that he got his high ranking by essentially being a scrub killer and getting Ws off low ranked opponents


I looked at the IBF rankings and their criteria for ranking and it says the main criteria ares win/loss record and quality of opponents if that’s really the case Ugas should have leapfrogged both, sh.it if were being honest Jessie Vargas should have leapfrogged both by getting a draw against Broner.

I don’t know if the IBF ranks the guys by a committee or through a computer program butnguys getting Ws and making a career off beating 200-1200 ranked WW shouldn’t get you anywhere near the top and a shot at the title
