What corrupt official is responsible for ranking Ocampo

No one. The thing with the IBF is that they are the only one of the four who don't take money or bribes to rank fighters. The only way to get a high ranking in the IBF is to fight the guys who are ranked by them.

This is why the IBF often has piss-poor fighters like Ocampo and Bizier and Wade as mandatories. The guys with names don't want to have to move up the rankings like everyone else. Take the WBC for instance. Haymon or Arum or ODLH can give them some money, and be near the top of their rankings.

Look at the IBF's current ww rankings for instance. Alexander and Vargas are the only two fighters anyone has heard of. Someone like DSG or Porter would be blasted for voluntarily fighting someone like Ocampo. It doesn't matter how good and proven DSG is with the IBF, he has to move up the rankings the same way as everyone else. And when none of the top fighters in a division have moved up the IBF rankings, then it is like it is right now. Where DSG isn't going to fight at least three or four bums to become mandatory. That could take two years.

Whereas the WBC wants the big names and the big fights. So they will happily order DSG-Porter, Canelo-g, and Stevenson-Kovalev. The WBC's own rules state they cannot rank anyone who holds one of the other three major belts. But Kov said he wanted to fight Stevenson, so the WBC broke their own rules and ordered the fight. The IBF won't do that.

Its kind of ironic, that by being the only ABC to not take bribes, that they often get the absolute worst mandatories.

Bud weighed more in the ring as a jww than Spence does as a ww. That is just a fact. Size isn't just height. Some people are naturally skinny or smaller. Some guys have wider shoulders. Peoples bodies are build different. And Bud weighs more than Spence.

And Bud won't eat up the division because he will never fight the best fighters in the division. He is older than DSG, Porter, Thurman, and Spence. He weighs the same or more than all of them. And yet, Bud's toughest opponent to date is either Postol or Horn. Those guys are literally the same level as Algieri.

Bud starved himself so he wouldn't have to be in a jww division with Khan, DSG, Maidana, and Peterson. Once the all moved up and some bum like Indongo was able to get two of the belts, he finally moved up. But now, he can't make 140 anymore. He was putting on close to 20 pounds from weigh-in to the fight.

People said the same thing about Broner when he fought the level of competition that Bud has faced his entire career. But AB has balls and all three of his losses were to guys that would destroy everyone Bud has ever fought. Bud is a great talent, but he is seriously a eunuch. They clipped his balls off when he was younger.

Heck, even Guerrero won belts in multiple divisions and was on the p4p list. Same thing happened to him that did to Broner though. He fought A level opponents. Bud is already 31 and has yet to face anyone better than a B-. No one really knows how good Bud is, because he never fights anyone good. If Broner fought the same opponents as Bud has, he would probably still be undefeated and p4p lists too.

I know Spence was a 10 to 1 favorite. I thought if Ocampo could make past five rounds it would be a moral victory for him.

The announcers only showed it once and only mentioned once! Let's see if any of you tuff guys can take a shot in the gonads and not go down like a little *****!

I surprised Al Bernstein and Paulie Malignaggi said nothing of the low blow! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Paulina doesn't have any balls so how would she know?

I was there w floor seats. It was a bit disappointing overall to be honest. With Fortuna getting injured early in what was turning into a good scrap to watch live, to the early ending in the main event. What sucks was Ocampo was actually throwing his hands a bit and not fighting scared, and got hit at the TAIL END of the round and couldn’t make it to his feet so we could see more.

And also... being 100 percent honest, the energy level wasn’t there fan wise from what i would have expected. I’ve been to live fights before in Houston (closer to where I live) and those venues were rocking. Juan Diaz v Malignaggi 1 the roof damn near blew off that mfer when he entered the ring. Same even w Donaire v Arce when he scored the stoppage. Place was electric. Ford center got loud, but I expected more from his hometown fans.

All in all, I wont be attending any mismatches going forward.
