it appears that Peds usage has given Canelo a distorted image of himself. Canelo’s prefight posturing will sell more tickets but it won’t help him on fight night. If anyone has the right to be “pissed” it’s the undefeated MW champion. Oscar’s “Golden Boy” will receive a lesson in humility in September. Canelo won’t be gifted this time.

Certainly is amusing the GGG fans... can't seem to stop hating Canelo. I prefer to look forward to a great fight... which I'm fairly certain is what we'll see.

Now, if Canelo comes up again with the positive tests, or for that matter if he stalls a bit in the mid rounds like in the first fight... then there's reason to be dismissive of him. But as it is, I'm fine with both fighter's abilities. They are who they are in the ring. The funny part is, GGG fans never call out their hero for following Canelo around the ring all night. I could count on one hand the number of times he actually cut off the ring. And even then, Canelo's excellent defense kept him out of trouble.

Call our your hero's mistakes, GGG fans. Like I just called out Canelo's diminished output mid-rounds. Acknowledge both fighters made mistakes. Then, just maybe you'll be taken seriously.

Totally fair. As a Trip G fan I saw a fighter move away from two things that set him apart from so many other fighters: One has been pointed out by everyone in that he basically did zero work to the body of Alvarez, even as many opportunities were there. All the times he got Alvarez into the ropes or had him coaxed into exchanges he put almost no effort into body work. For an athletic opponent like Canelo, that is basically giving away a round or two by allowing Alvarez to breathe and maneuver freely. I think it was the biggest difference in the fight. To me, it was why Alvarez was able to bounce back and win those last two rounds. Golovkin inability to take the wind out his sails with body work gave away his advantages.

The other is related, but he just fell in love with his jab as he dialed in the distance in the mid-rounds and that left him very predictable. Alvarez was able to make adjustments defensively, and was able to maneuver away from Golovkin even as Golovkin had the upper hand. The jab is Triple G's best offensive weapon, but you just can't beat top level competition with one punch.

I am pumped for the rematch. Can't see why any boxing fan wouldn't be. These two guys have lost the respect they had for each other in the first fight, and it is bordering on true hate. This is two of the best boxers today in a fight in which they now have even more on the line against the other.

How can you NOT be excited for it?
