Can we all agree that Golovkin fooled everyone and pulled off a huge power play here? Yesterday, everyone, myself included, call him a moron for passing up on a 60-40 deal.

But lets evaluate this: This started at 65-35 take it or leave it. Then went to 60-40 and then to 57.5-42.5 and now we don't know what it is, but it might be better than 42.5. By having a pair of balls, he negotiated at least an extra 7.5% which is massive in this context considering this fight will likely end up doing 1.5M buys.

Everyone was saying Canelo is this huge A-side star who doesn't need Golovkin. Based off the way Oscar was willing to bend to Golovkin, that was proven to be false. He needed Golovkin as well.

This could be a lesson for fighters going forward that you always try to negotiate the best possible deal. Regardless of what fans say.

Hahahaha, GB folded from their on greed. I DONT care about the split, just happy they'll fight. Hopefully Canelo has cycled enough this year and won't try to cheat again.
