I use transnational boxing ranks personally myself..... they are super strict and imo has the best rankings out of all of them and they keep the lineal line intact

Saunders is the only other to have beaten 1 (Lemieux) while none of the others have even one single win against their top 10 opponents. This is disregarding the controversial draw with Canelo since he's not listed atm.

If that's not a clear distinction of the current MW champion, I don't know what is.

They're all flawed & this is why there's always been some kind of controversy surrounding these things. Why I posted GGG's wins against top 5 opponents two of which were ranked #2 at the time. It's as clear as can be yet even TBRB still has it vacant & won't declare one until Canelo returns & is reinserted into the rankings. I'm going to assume they put him at #2 over Saunders come September.

But then why wasn't Golovkin named the champion at that time? He just beat Jacobs the #2.

They put Canelo at #2 & left the Champion open, what was the point? Golovkin had wins over the #2 & #3 fighters in April. If they thought Canelo wasn't a MW then why was he in the next month's rankings?

Let's remember that Canelo droped the WBC belt in June of '16 & fought Smith for 154 title in Sept '16. This was almost a full year prior to them removing Canelo as the champ. Golovkin fought Jacobs in March '17 when both were ranked #1 & #2 for a clear ine to establish new lineage. As I said, they're all flawed & politics has a lot to do with it.
