Guys go down in weight when they turn pro. not up unless it makes sense financially (like moving from CW to HW)

It's more advantageous to them and they can come up and get experience by fighting club guys. Then they get to "move up" to their actual weight once they've got a good record and experience.

    G stayed at MW though.

Loma was LW in AM's and FW turning pro
Ward was LHW in the AM's and MW turning pro

many more examples, but I have to get ready for work

I dont! But Im sure you screamed bloody murder when Canelo hung around at 154-155. He made weight against Liam Smith.

But Im sure in your mind Pednelo is 6' 8" and weighs 300lbs but SOMEHOW made 154-155...

GGG's team are probably leaving their 'take it or leave it' offer too, and if Canelo walks away then they will say 'it was just a prank bro, we'll take the 42.5%!'

Negotiation tactics. Or they could just not fight him, but I would say it's on 90%

I never cared about Canelo’s weight nor did I really care about Canelo before the first GGG fight was announced.

The only time I was surprised was when he made 164,5 for Chavez Jr but people claimed he was too small for 160.

GG gets the gas face for this. He never wanted the rematch. In his fight with Canelo...it is the closest he ever came to losing. He played the cheating card too long. Time to move on and see what Saunders and Charlo have to give to the MW division.
