Gennady Golovkin has turned down what Oscar De La Hoya has said was his final financial offer for a rematch with Canelo Alvarez. Tom Loeffler, Golovkin's promoter, told Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez of Golovkin's decision before the deadline of noon PT Wednesday that Gomez and De La Hoya gave Loeffler on Tuesday.

Yep. Makes absolutely zero sense for GGG to not take this fight for w/e % GBP is offering cuz there is no fight he's making as much. Idk if GGG's money is THAT sorta out & good or what, but I'd assuming adding another chunk like this payday would be is always welcome.

And randomly I've never seen such a stoic & chill dude completely flip out & become an emotional rollercoaster quite like GGG has since Canelo got popped for his banned substance. Definitely one of the odder personality changes I've seen in boxing that happen on a dime like that.

Golovkin sticking to 45/55%. He's obviously trying to make GBP bend the knee. We'll have to wait & see if Jacobs settles for something Canelo can live with or not or if Oscar comes back with the 45% offer to GGG.

Even 70% of the pot vs Jacobs doesn't get him anywhere close to $40m & that's the angle that Gennady is playing.

Tough call for Golovkin but gotta respect his stance.
