  • what I believe.....

Golovkin fully intended to walk..... and was only convinced to take that fight after the 12th hour, by Loeffler..... who reminded him that he will be blamed for killing the fight, and also reminded Golovkin that he will not be offered 42.5% next time, or even close

Loeffler likely also reminded him that Charlo has been ordered by the WBC if no Canelo..... so he can kiss goodbye to that belt as well

He probably ended up with around 45% of the purse he was supposedly ducking. Fight is on. Be happy and move on lol.

      I am

I wanted Golovkin to fight the toughest possible opponent next..... so that he could not continue tip-toe'ing through the tulips to break Hopkins record, like he did with Vanes

Unlike GGG who was the one being avoided for so long, Hopkins actually picked cherries.

          bullshyt

don't be one of the casuals who fell for that rubbish lol

this has been discussed in-depth, and Golovkin's recent shenanigans with Derevyanchenko proved whats up

that is a dumb line that Team Bull**** fed the casuals

Golovkin was completely unwilling to take a fight unless it happened on his terms..... even when negotiating with superstars..... which burns that excuse

So did GGG go for the easier fight in rematching Canelo now?

Not to mention BHopp was also a LHW who realized at the beginning of his pro career that he couldn't cut the mustard at that weight class so he dropped down to 160.

GGG is blasted for fighting 154 Vanes at 160 but Bhopp is a god for figting 154-160 fighters at 175 lol

                    Lol. You are incredibly wrong.

                      nope

he got pushed into taking the Canelo fight now

by Loeffler, and by WBC Sulaiman..... who slammed the door on his holiday in Japan, giving him little choice

I actually think that Golovkin was willing to dump the WBC strap, but Loeffler convinced him to fight Canelo now..... rather than waiting until after they broke Hopkins record

and the reason is money..... the additional 7.5%, which would be removed from the table if Golovkin had not accepted

if Golovkin denied Canelo the opportunity to set the record straight..... Canelo would fight Jacobs, and realize that he does not need Golovkin at all..... especially with interest from fans dying if the fight did not happen now

just a guess, could be wrong..... but if I am right, then Golovkin was not 100% committed to this fight.... which does not bode well for September
