He doesn't deserve really anything more than what they are willing to pay honestly. They are doing him a favor not the other way around. However I would never tell a man to settle for less.

Hell yes. This is a good sign. Jacobs should demand more. Even if he doesnt get the fight, maybe the next guy will follow suit and demand more as well. By then gbp and canelo will figure out that nobody wants to accept their low ball offers and finally realize canelo aint all that and a bag of chips!!! Too many other fights to make amongst the rest of the division. Besides, if everyone ices out canelo, he will only get older and less active fighting just once a year. Time will catch up sooner than he thinks.

Hater .... That's the perk when you are the A side. Mayweather and.Pacquiao opponents splits were comparable.

Why on earth would they think they can get Jacobs cheap?

Do they think he lives in a cave and doesn't know about the GGG situation? lol

I really like DJ, but he has zero draw appeal. His last 2 fights have been uneventful and against equally unknown/lesser known guys.

Gennady has some recognition since getting the gift draw last summer against Ca$hnelo.

With all due respect to DJ...the fight itself isnt the reason to take it. If you punish/pummel the "A" side Ca$helo than you elevate yourself a few levels or become the "A" side. That's why you take these fights. It's not about the payday of the fight. It's about the potential reward afterward.

Gennady pricing himself out makes sense for 2 reasons. First he doesn't want the rematch. Call it spite, fear, anger, frustration - whatever it is - he doesn't want it. Secondly this is one of his last big fights and hes looking to cash out. It makes sense to try and squeeze as much as he can get

It makes zero sense for DJ - only 31 - to price himself out. Hes got years ahead and could easily make something of himself with the charisma of new promoter Hearn...especially if he beats Ca$hnelo like he did Quillin.

Bad move by DJ and camp

EXACTLY what I was thinking, If I was team Jacobs I would take the fight, plan on winning and elevating Jacobs Status And Marketability and be the shot caller money wise for future fights.
