This has been the plan all along...notice how fights are never announced more than 90 days in advance now? Has something to do with drug testing. GGG Canelo on 9/15 will be announced in the next few days. All the details were probably worked out weeks/months ago.

Only surprising thing is the IBF decision to strip GGG - it hurts the IBF and Dervy more than GGG. IBF misses out on sanctioning fees from GGG Canelo on 9/15, and Dervy misses out on step aside money, and then getting the GGG fight next.

Instead IBF and Dervy get a high level fight against Charlo, Jacobs or Andrade...but no money in those. Just a bizarre decision, especially for Dervy's team. I don't understand their reasoning.

better offer than I expected from GB. They must either want this to get done ASAP also, knowing that Canelo won't make as much against anyone but GGG, or the drug test caused Canelo to take a hit. Either way, just get the ****ing fight done.

Did they really say that? That's really strange as well. I know they have the same team/trainer but unless you are brothers/family, I would expect guys to fight for a belt.
