It's basic comprehension mate and I'm struggling to break it down any further than this.

There's a difference between 'agrees to' and 'signs'. One of them signals an intention, the other an action. When it's signed its done.

Yes the commercials are the most important aspect, but they're not the only one.

If Hearn sends a contract and Wilder's team object to something they claim wasn't part of the original agreement, as is their right, there's no longer any time for negotiations, it's down to the wire as it is.

So, to reiterate. It's positive, it hopefully goes through from here, but anyone with any commercial experience whatsoever knows that until the contracts are there, subjected to line by scrutiny, passed by legal advisors and have the signatures of every principle involved it ain't done and things can still go south.

Are you really too dumb to see the difference between those 2 situations?
Come on mate, you sound like your opinions are solely based from a few of IFL's interviews with Kugan and Eddie. You can't buy all his BS surely. Please don't tell me you're one of those sad tw@ts commenting about 'putting on the kettle' or 'cracking out a w@nk' when an hour long Hearn vid comes on. I usually think your posts are decent to be fair but think the Hearn chat might have you twisted on this one.

If Finkel didn't want to speak about the details then how does Eddie know about all of the details of the offer and then, after knowing the details, changed his tact to say that the fight 'must be in England'. He obviously found out about those details of the offer, right. Then he decided he needed to make the counter offer for it to be in England and publicly gave Wilder two weeks and publicly said he was negotiating with Povetkin.

Read in between the lines, Hearn is excellent with the chat but he lies so often that it becomes transparent when you think about it.

Finkel: "AJ is guaranteed $50million. Take it or leave it. You have 48 hours."

Hearn: "I need to talk to you about the details of the offer. I can't accept any offer without knowing the details or seeing a contract"

Finkel: "Have AJ accept the offer first. Then we can talk about the details"

Are you saying that never happened, that Hearn just invented the whole story and he hasn't really made any counter offer to Wilder's team since then?

That he hasn't really been talking to Haymon and his dad didn't really talk to Finkel?

That it's all a pack of lies invented by Hearn to fool people like me?

If so .. what the fck was Wilder on about when he said he would accept Hearn's terms for a UK fight?

Do you think he is asking Hearn to send him a contract to sign .. without knowing what's going to be in that contract?

          • What a bizarre statement. Again he's never sounded positive about wanting to make this fight.

              I think we're (you're) getting a bit confused here.

You said Finkel didn't want to talk about details of the deal. Then you said they did in fact talk about details and Hearn made a counter offer. Ok, so Finkel DID actually want to talk about the details.

You then said that Finkel said that they had to accept the offer first and then they'll send the contract. You made that seem like it was strange way to do things. However, Hearn made an offer which Deontay has just accepted an offer and then Hearn has said that they will send a contract. This is the same thing, just in reverse....

I'm not getting confused at all .. I'm talking about 2 different offers made at on 2 different occasions.

The first offer was made by Wilder and Finkel via social media and it was just a money guarantee for AJ - $50million. Nothing else, just a sum of money and a 48 hour "take it or leave it" deadline.

That was when Hearn said he needed to talk to Finkel about the details of the offer or be sent a contract with the details written down so he could check them out. And that was also when Finkel refused to talk to him or send him anything to check out unless he accepted the money offer first.

The second offer, for a fight in the UK, was made in private during talks between Eddie Hearn and Al Haymon weeks after the deadline for Finkel's offer ran out. And Hearn was also given answers by Haymon to the questions he had about the $50million offer which Finkel had refused to discuss with him. Barry Hearn then flew over to the States for more talks with Finkel.

The $50 million for the US fight is still on the table now mate.

                  • I have a feeling the contracts Hearn is sending will not be what was agreed too.

I know it's still on the table. And Hearn was able to verify the funds and find out about the details from Al Haymon - whch is information he didn't have before, because Finkel wouldn't tell him anything except the amount of money on offer.

Wilder's team know the details of Hearn's counter offer for a UK fight because Hearn negotiated it with Haymon and his dad met up with with Finkel to answer any questions he had about it.
