Happy retirement. I'm sure there will be no comebacks in the future.

I was a fan back in the day and always looked forward to his fights, when he was fit and explosive. He was exciting to watch.

He was done really around the time he pulled out of the Fury fights with injury. I was reading earlier about further injuries I hadn't even heard about, such as metal rods being put into his back in 2015.
He was clearly bent out of shape when he made his comeback, but I'd imagine he made a tidy sum from the 2 Bellew fights.

That was a surprisingly tasteful and humble statement.

I don't think he's a HOF. I think Froch gets in before him. They both may not even make honestly. Ricky didn't even make it.

He was the first boxer I followed properly, his performance against Carl Thompson was hard to take; but he bounced back and looked unstoppable in his prime. Wlad was a bad matchup for him, and so was Bellew at the end of his career.

Nothing but respect to Hayemaker. Another one of my idols growing up retired (Hatton was first)

Sadly enough that is very true. Look at RJJ. If he retired after Ruiz or Tarver 1. He'd have been TBE. He didn't, kept on going and people don't respect the boxer he WAS.

Lots of love to the hayemaker he did alot for british boxing in what was a less prosperous era, sad to see him go out how he did but it's the nature of the beast.. he's found out the most important thing anyway. The past is gone and doesn't exist anymore and the future hasn't happened and doesn't exist, only the present is real. If you can read between the lines this is important life advice man. Humbling stuff from a warrior as are all those who enter the ring so valiantly and only a few make it to the the level he did he can be proud. While armchair comedians with unrelated and unrelenting anger troll to quench their insecurities. God bless one and all

Show some respect, which I know you have none of and give the man a proper sending off.
                  Well said. Qtf

He's right that the present moment is the only thing that really exists. It's good advice to always give "now" the proper attention it deserves.

I'll remember Haye as a great cruiserweight but also for his dismal performance against Klitschko.

Love him or hate him, at least Haye took his final beatings like a man.
