Hearn trying to poach Mexican Independence date from Canelo

Was reading Fat Dan’s article on the Wilder/Joshua fight and found it amusing that the agreed fight date for the fight would be Sep.15, LOL. Gotta give Eddie his props for tryin to poach Canelo’s fight date. However, the Joshua/Wilder PPV would suffer even if Canelo chooses to fight someone other than GGG as he’s still the top draw in the sport.

If it is in the uk, why it would suffer?

Whoever fights that day will only be gettin more views since a it would be a follopup from the joshua -wilder fight

If it's September 15, it would be shown live on DAZN in the afternoon. The Canelo fight wouldn't hurt at all.

Canelo PPV’s cost $69.99 in the US, don’t see people wanting to spend another $70 bucks for Joshua/Wilder as well. Although, the Canelo/Golovkin PPV did around 1.3 mil buys it did suffered from having Mayweather/McGreagor fight the previous weekend. Gonna be the same result if Hearn tries to put that fight that weekend at least in the US.

No it wouldn’t, showtime PPV would supply the fight in the US. This is a big money fight that requires it to be on PPV to make money.

Wilder accepted Hearn's offer. Hearn can put the fight anywhere he wants. There's no better way to launch DAZN in the US than with this fight and a Showtime PPV in the afternoon from the UK wouldn't work anyway.

A rematch in the US may make sense for Showtime PPV, but the first makes way more sense on DAZN.

Wilder is a Showtime fighter, no way in hell Espinoza would let DAZN have that fight. Also, Hearn has stated before that Joshua ain’t part of the DAZN deal. Doesn’t matter if is in the afternoon or not this is a PPV fight that needs to be in PPV to generate the money require to pay the purses of the fighters and reimburse the promoters.

Ummm, Canelo/GGG 1 did 1.3 mil buys, generated the 3rd highest gate in boxing history with over 27 mil. Yet, nobody cares LMFAO

Wilder's side accepted Hearn's offer. Hearn will own the fight and can do with it as he pleases. There's nothing stopping Hearn from bringing it to DAZN. Wilder won't be on a percentage. Hearn has no obligation to maximize revenue.
