0. His resume is **** yet he still gets hyped. If he beats: Spence, thurman, danny, porter, etc then we can start giving him the deserved praise.Comment

Don't get me wrong he's beat some good fighters just not anyone really great to warrant the amount of praise Crawford gets as a technician in there.
I read some bull**** in here other week speaking about how he picks people apart and can chose when and where to end a fight etc but thats all good if your not fighting elite opposition. I want to see him face adversity or a puzzle.Comment

I've noticed it's often GGG diehards that are very harsh on Crawford's resume. Why is that? Possibly as a retaliation to what was said about GGG during his physical prime?
Crawford is yet to duck a challenge (in fact he's gone after them), has cleaned out 135 (including beating Gamboa as a 2-1 underdog), cleaned out 140 (being the first man to unify four titles in over a decade), won a title in his 147 debut (pbc league makes it hard to get those guys) and has lost probably 5-6 rounds in his last dozen fights. Domination, high skill level, a few undefeated fighters in there.
Sometimes the accomplishments and the fashion of victories when coupled with consistency and longevity can beat a few names on a resume. LOL at anyone saying his resume sucks.Comment

Exactly the same number as the rest of his contemporaries, man.I enjoyed watching the massacre of the albino kangaroo this past weekend. However I fail to see the bigger picture here.
The amount of hype and assurances that Crawford is a superstar with elite boxing skills is unreal who has he actually beaten?
A fight against spence, porter, Garcia, thurman would all be underdog fights for Crawford I can't see whats special about him.
He's a jack of all trades master of none. He does everything good but not great.
I feel he's in an era where he can shine due to lack of opportunities to fight big names in his respective division (before he moved to welter) the lightweight division of old featuring pac, morales, marquez, mosley etc would of all beat the piss out of him I believe.
That'd be a big fat zero in case I didn't get my point across, but then prime elites have always been a bit thin on the ground, and even more so when every prime fighter suddenly becomes a 'bum' the moment they get beat.
You wanna compare todays top fighters against those of the past? Sure. Go ahead. No-one can prove you wrong.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-11-2018, 05:42 PM.Comment

There are no ggg diehards on this thread fans yes, diehards not likely.I've noticed it's often GGG diehards that are very harsh on Crawford's resume. Why is that? Possibly as a retaliation to what was said about GGG during his physical prime?

Crawford is good I didn't say he wasn't but apart from Gamboa what top level fighters has he exhibited his "domination" "high skill level" against bro?
He's a good man seems down to earth humble etc can fight either hand. Good going back and going forward. But there's not one opponent in his resume that you can say yeah he's world level and consistent. Not one Gamboa is in my top ten of most unfulfilled full of potential careers list. Ricky burns. Not elite. Indingo not elite. Postol not elite.
A pressure fighter with good footwork is buds ******nite spence will be his first loss.Last edited by King Arthur; 06-11-2018, 05:50 PM.Comment

I agree exactly with what you say. The herd is thinned out these days I see a lot of unjustified hype regarding certain fighters. When they havent beaten top tier opposition. Atleast people like mayweather, Jones Jr, Ray Leonard, had those marquee names to fight and that way the recognition was deserved. Until Crawford fights spence, thurman, I can't rate him as highly as the praise he gets. It's unwarranted.Exactly the same number as the rest of his contemporaries, man.
